Καί And ἐξελθόντες having gone out, οἱ the Φαρισαῖοι Pharisees εὐθύς immediately μετά with τῶν the Ἡρῳδιανῶν Herodians συμβούλιον counsel ἐδίδουν began to take κατ ̓ against αὐτοῦ Him, ὅπως how αὐτόν Him ἀπολέσωσιν. they might destroy.

Καί And ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus, μετά with τῶν the μαθητῶν disciples αὐτοῦ of Him, ἀνεχώρησεν withdrew πρός to τήν the θάλασσαν, sea, καί and πολύ great πλῆθος a multitude ἀπό from τῆς - Γαλιλαίας Galilee ἠκολούθησεν, followed, καί and ἀπό from τῆς - Ἰουδαίας Judea, καί and ἀπό from Ἱεροσολύμων Jerusalem, καί and ἀπό from τῆς - Ἰδουμαίας Idumea, καί and πέραν beyond τοῦ the Ἰορδάνου Jordan, καί and περί around Τύρον Tyre καί and Σιδῶνα Sidon. πλῆθος A multitude πολύ great, ἀκούοντες having heard ὅσα how much ἐποίει He was doing, ἦλθον came πρός to αὐτόν. Him. Καί And εἶπεν He spoke τοῖς to the μαθηταῖς disciples αὐτοῦ of Him ἵνα that πλοιάριον a boat προσκαρτερῇ might wait upon αὐτῷ Him διά on account of τόν the ὄχλον crowd, ἵνα that μή not θλίβωσιν they might press upon αὐτόν· Him. πολλούς Many γάρ for ἐθεράπευσεν, He healed, ὥστε so as for ἐπιπίπτειν to press upon αὐτῷ Him, ἵνα that αὐτοῦ Him ἅψωνται they might touch, ὅσοι as many as εἶχον had μάστιγας. diseases. καί And τά the πνεύματα spirits τά - ἀκάθαρτα, unclean, ὅταν whenever αὐτόν Him ἐθεώρουν, they beheld, προσέπιπτον were falling down before αὐτῷ Him καί and ἔκραζον crying out, λέγοντα saying ὅτι -, Σύ You εἶ are ὁ the Υἱός Son τοῦ - Θεοῦ. of God. καί And πολλά much ἐπετίμα He would rebuke αὐτοῖς them, ἵνα so that μή not αὐτόν Him φανερόν known ποιήσωσιν. they should make.

Him. καί And ἐποίησεν He appointed δώδεκα twelve οὕς ones καί also ἀποστόλους apostles. ὠνόμασεν He called [them] ἵνα that ὦσιν they might be μετ ̓ with αὐτοῦ Him, καί and ἵνα that ἀποστέλλῃ He might send αὐτούς them κηρύσσειν to preach, καί and ἔχειν to have ἐξουσίαν authority ἐκβάλλειν to cast out τά - δαιμόνια· demons. Καί And ἐποίησεν He appointed τούς the δώδεκα, Twelve. καί And ἐπέθηκεν He added ὄνομα [the] name τῷ to Σίμωνι Simon, Πέτρον, Peter; καί and Ἰάκωβον James τόν the [son] τοῦ of Ζεβεδαίου Zebedee, καί and Ἰωάννην John τόν the ἀδελφόν brother τοῦ - Ἰακώβου of James, καί and ἐπέθηκεν He added αὐτοῖς to them [the] ὀνόματα name Βοανηργές, Boanerges, ὅ which ἐστίν is, Υἱοί Sons Βροντῆς· of thunder; καί and Ἀνδρέαν Andrew, καί and Φίλιππον Philip, καί and Βαρθολομαῖον Bartholomew, καί and Μαθθαῖον Matthew, καί and Θωμᾶν Thomas, καί and Ἰάκωβον James τόν the [son] τοῦ - Ἁλφαίου of Alphaeus, καί and Θαδδαῖον Thaddaeus, καί and Σίμωνα Simon τόν the Καναναῖον Zealot, καί and Ἰούδαν Judas Ἰσκαριώθ, Iscariot, ὅς who καί also παρέδωκεν betrayed αὐτόν. Him.
