Καί And ὁ the δεύτερος second ἄγγελος angel ἐσάλπισεν· sounded [his] trumpet, καί and ὡς [something] like ὄρος a mountain μέγα great, πυρί with fire καιόμενον burning, ἐβλήθη was cast εἰς into τήν the θάλασσαν, sea. καί And ἐγένετο became τό a τρίτον third τῆς of the θαλάσσης sea αἷμα blood, καί and ἀπέθανεν died τό a τρίτον third τῶν of the κτισμάτων creatures τῶν - ἐν in τῇ the θαλάσσῃ sea τά - ἔχοντα having ψυχάς life, καί and τό a τρίτον third τῶν of the πλοίων ships διεφθάρησαν. were destroyed.

Καί And ὁ the τρίτος third ἄγγελος angel ἐσάλπισεν· sounded [his] trumpet, καί and ἔπεσεν fell ἐκ out of τοῦ - οὐρανοῦ heaven ἀστήρ a star μέγας great, καιόμενος burning ὡς like λαμπάς a torch. καί And ἔπεσεν it fell ἐπί upon τό a τρίτον third τῶν of the ποταμῶν rivers, καί and ἐπί upon τάς the πηγάς springs τῶν of ὑδάτων, waters. καί And τό the ὄνομα name τοῦ of the ἀστέρος star λέγεται is called ὁ - Ἄψινθος, Wormwood. καί And ἐγένετο became τό a τρίτον third τῶν of the ὑδάτων waters εἰς into ἄψινθον wormwood, καί and πολλοί many τῶν of the ἀνθρώπων men ἀπέθανον died ἐκ from τῶν the ὑδάτων waters, ὅτι because ἐπικράνθησαν. they were made bitter.

Καί And ὁ the τέταρτος fourth ἄγγελος angel ἐσάλπισεν· sounded [his] trumpet, καί and ἐπλήγη was struck τό a τρίτον third τοῦ of the ἡλίου sun, καί and τό a τρίτον third τῆς of the σελήνης moon, καί and τό a τρίτον third τῶν of the ἀστέρων, stars, ἵνα so that σκοτισθῇ should be darkened τό a τρίτον third αὐτῶν of them, καί and ἡ the ἡμέρα day μή not φάνῃ should appear [for] τό a τρίτον third αὐτῆς of it, καί and ἡ the νύξ night ὁμοίως. likewise.

Καί And εἶδον, I looked, καί and ἤκουσα I heard ἑνός one ἀετοῦ eagle πετομένου flying ἐν in μεσουρανήματι mid-heaven, λέγοντος saying φωνῇ in a voice μεγάλῃ· loud, Οὐαί Woe! οὐαί Woe! οὐαί Woe τούς to those κατοικοῦντας dwelling ἐπί on τῆς the γῆς earth, ἐκ because of τῶν the λοιπῶν remaining φωνῶν voices τῆς of the σάλπιγγος trumpet τῶν of the τριῶν three ἀγγέλων angels τῶν - μελλόντων being about σαλπίζειν. to sound [their] trumpets!

Καί And ὁ the πέμπτος fifth ἄγγελος angel ἐσάλπισεν· sounded [his] trumpet, καί and εἶδον I saw ἀστέρα a star ἐκ out of τοῦ - οὐρανοῦ heaven πεπτωκότα having fallen εἰς to τήν the γῆν, earth, καί and ἐδόθη was given αὐτῷ to it ἡ the κλείς key τοῦ of the φρέατος pit τῆς of the ἀβύσσου abyss. καί And ἤνοιξεν he opened τό the φρέαρ pit τῆς of the ἀβύσσου, abyss, καί and ἀνέβη went up καπνός smoke ἐκ out of τοῦ the φρέατος pit, ὡς like καπνός [the] smoke καμίνου of a furnace μεγάλης, great, καί and ἐσκοτώθη were darkened ὁ the ἥλιος sun καί and ὁ the ἀήρ air ἐκ by τοῦ the καπνοῦ smoke τοῦ of the φρέατος. pit. Καί And ἐκ out of τοῦ the καπνοῦ smoke ἐξῆλθον came forth ἀκρίδες locusts εἰς unto τήν the γῆν, earth, καί and ἐδόθη was given αὐταῖς to them ἐξουσία power, ὡς like ἔχουσιν have ἐξουσίαν power οἱ the σκορπίοι scorpions τῆς of the γῆς. earth. καί And ἐρρέθη it was said αὐταῖς to them, ἵνα that μή not ἀδικήσουσιν they shall harm τόν the χόρτον grass τῆς of the γῆς earth, οὐδέ nor πᾶν any χλωρόν green thing, οὐδέ nor πᾶν any δένδρον, tree, εἰ if μή not τούς the ἀνθρώπους men οἵτινες - οὐ not ἔχουσι having τήν the σφραγῖδα seal τοῦ - Θεοῦ of God ἐπί on τῶν the μετώπων. foreheads. καί And ἐδόθη it was granted αὐτοῖς to them ἵνα that μή not ἀποκτείνωσιν they should kill αὐτούς, them, ἀλλ ̓ but ἵνα that βασανισθήσονται they shall torment [them] μῆνας months πέντε, five. καί And ὁ the βασανισμός torment αὐτῶν of them ὡς [was] like βασανισμός torment σκορπίου of a scorpion, ὅταν when παίσῃ it might strike ἄνθρωπον. a man. καί And ἐν in ταῖς the ἡμέραις days ἐκείναις those, ζητήσουσιν will seek οἱ - ἄνθρωποι men τόν - θάνατον death, καί and οὐ not μή no more εὑρήσουσιν will find αὐτόν, it; καί and ἐπιθυμήσουσιν they will long ἀποθανεῖν to die, καί and φεύγει shall flee ὁ - θάνατος death ἀπ ̓ from αὐτῶν. them.

Καί And τά the ὁμοιώματα appearance τῶν of the ἀκρίδων locusts [was] ὅμοια like ἵπποις horses ἡτοιμασμένοις having been prepared εἰς for πόλεμον, battle, καί and ἐπί upon τάς the κεφαλάς heads αὐτῶν of them ὡς [were something] like στέφανοι crowns, ὅμοιοι like χρυσῷ, gold; καί and τά the πρόσωπα faces αὐτῶν of them ὡς like πρόσωπα [the] faces ἀνθρώπων, of men. καί And εἶχον they had τρίχας hair ὡς like τρίχας hair γυναικῶν, of women, καί and οἱ the ὀδόντες teeth αὐτῶν of them ὡς like [those] λεόντων of lions ἦσαν, were. καί And εἶχον they had θώρακας breastplates ὡς like θώρακας breastplates σιδηροῦς, of iron, καί and ἡ the φωνή sound τῶν of the πτερύγων wings αὐτῶν of them ὡς [was] as φωνή [the] sound ἁρμάτων of chariots ἵππων of horses πολλῶν many τρεχόντων rushing εἰς into πόλεμον, battle. καί And ἔχουσιν they have οὐράς tails ὁμοίας like σκορπίοις scorpions καί and κέντρα, stingers, καί and ἐν in ταῖς the οὐραῖς tails αὐτῶν of them ἡ [is] the ἐξουσία power αὐτῶν of them ἀδικῆσαι to injure τούς - ἀνθρώπους men μῆνας for months πέντε, five. ἔχουσιν They have ἐπ ̓ over αὐτῶν them βασιλέα a king, τόν the ἄγγελον angel τῆς of the ἀβύσσου, abyss. ὄνομα [The] name αὐτῷ of Him Ἑβραϊστί in Hebrew Ἀβαδδών, [is] Abaddon, καί and ἐν in τῇ the Ἑλληνικῇ Greek, ὄνομα [the] name ἔχει he has Ἀπολλύων. Euphrates. καί And ἐλύθησαν were released οἱ the τέσσαρες four ἄγγελοι angels οἱ - ἡτοιμασμένοι having been prepared εἰς for τήν the ὥραν hour καί and ἡμέραν day καί and μῆνα month καί and ἐνιαυτόν, year, ἵνα so that ἀποκτείνωσιν they might kill τό a τρίτον third τῶν - ἀνθρώπων. of mankind. καί And ὁ the ἀριθμός number τῶν of the στρατευμάτων armies τοῦ of the ἱππικοῦ cavalry [was] δισμυριάδες twice ten thousand μυριάδων, ten thousands; ἤκουσα I heard τόν the ἀριθμόν number αὐτῶν. of them. Καί And οὕτως thus εἶδον I saw τούς the ἵππους horses ἐν in τῇ the ὁράσει vision, καί and τούς those καθημένους sitting ἐπ ̓ on αὐτῶν, them, ἔχοντας having θώρακας breastplates πυρίνους fiery καί and ὑακινθίνους hyacinthine καί and θειώδεις, brimstone. καί And αἱ the κεφαλαί heads τῶν of the ἵππων horses [were] ὡς like κεφαλαί heads λεόντων, of lions, καί and ἐκ out of τῶν the στομάτων mouths αὐτῶν of them ἐκπορεύεται proceed πῦρ fire, καί and καπνός smoke, καί and θεῖον. brimstone. ἀπό By τῶν - τριῶν three πληγῶν plagues τούτων these ἀπεκτάνθησαν was killed τό a τρίτον third τῶν of ἀνθρώπων, mankind, ἐκ by τοῦ the πυρός fire, καί and τοῦ by the καπνοῦ smoke, καί and τοῦ by the θείου brimstone, τοῦ - ἐκπορευομένου proceeding ἐκ out of τῶν the στομάτων mouths αὐτῶν. of them. ἡ The γάρ for ἐξουσία powers τῶν of the ἵππων horses ἐν in τῷ the στόματι mouths αὐτῶν of them ἐστίν are, καί and ἐν in ταῖς the οὐραῖς tails αὐτῶν, of them; αἱ the γάρ for οὐραί tails αὐτῶν of them ὅμοιαι [are] like ὄφεσιν, serpents, ἔχουσαι having κεφαλάς heads, καί and ἐν with αὐταῖς them ἀδικοῦσιν. they injure.

Καί And οἱ the λοιποί rest τῶν of the ἀνθρώπων, men οἵ who οὐ not ἀπεκτάνθησαν were killed ἐν by ταῖς the πληγαῖς plagues ταύταις, these οὐδέ not even μετενόησαν repented ἐκ of τῶν the ἔργων works τῶν of the χειρῶν hands αὐτῶν, of them, ἵνα so that μή not προσκυνήσουσιν they will worship τά the δαιμόνια demons, καί and τά the εἴδωλα idols τά - χρυσᾶ golden καί and τά - ἀργυρᾶ silver καί and τά - χαλκᾶ bronze καί and τά - λίθινα stone καί and τά - ξύλινα, wooden, ἅ which οὔτε neither βλέπειν to see δύνανται are able, οὔτε nor ἀκούειν to hear, οὔτε nor περιπατεῖν, to walk. καί And οὐ not μετενόησαν they repented ἐκ of τῶν the φόνων murders αὐτῶν of them, οὔτε nor ἐκ of τῶν the φαρμάκων sorceries αὐτῶν of them, οὔτε nor ἐκ of τῆς the πορνείας sexual immorality αὐτῶν of them, οὔτε nor ἐκ of τῶν the κλεμμάτων thefts αὐτῶν. of them.

Καί And εἶδον I saw ἄλλον another ἄγγελον angel ἰσχυρόν mighty καταβαίνοντα coming down ἐκ out of τοῦ - οὐρανοῦ heaven, περιβεβλημένον clothed with νεφέλην, a cloud, καί and ἡ a ἶρις rainbow ἐπί upon τῆς the κεφαλῆς head αὐτοῦ of him, καί and τό the πρόσωπον face αὐτοῦ of him ὡς [was] like ὁ the ἥλιος sun, καί and οἱ the πόδες feet αὐτοῦ of him ὡς like στῦλοι pillars πυρός, of fire, καί and ἔχων having ἐν in τῇ the χειρί hand αὐτοῦ of him βιβλαρίδιον a little scroll ἠνεῳγμένον. being open. καί And ἔθηκεν he placed τόν the πόδα foot αὐτοῦ of him τόν - δεξιόν right ἐπί upon τῆς the θαλάσσης, sea, τόν the δέ and εὐώνυμον left ἐπί upon τῆς the γῆς, earth. καί And ἔκραξεν he cried out φωνῇ in a voice μεγάλῃ loud ὥσπερ as λέων a lion μυκᾶται. roars. καί And ὅτε when ἔκραξεν, he cried out, ἐλάλησαν sounded αἱ the ἑπτά seven βρονταί thunders, τάς the ἑαυτῶν of themselves φωνάς. voice. Καί And ὅτε when ἐλάλησαν had spoken αἱ the ἑπτά seven βρονταί, thunders, ἤμελλον I was about γράφειν, to write. καί But ἤκουσα I heard φωνήν a voice ἐκ out of τοῦ - οὐρανοῦ heaven, λέγουσαν· saying, Σφράγισον Seal ἅ what ἐλάλησαν have spoken αἱ the ἑπτά seven βρονταί, thunders, καί and μή not αὐτά them γράψῃς. write.

Καί And ὁ the ἄγγελος, angel ὅν whom εἶδον I saw ἑστῶτα standing ἐπί on τῆς the θαλάσσης sea καί and ἐπί on τῆς the γῆς, land ἦρεν lifted up τήν the χεῖρα hand αὐτοῦ of him τήν the δεξιάν right εἰς to τόν - οὐρανόν heaven, καί and ὤμοσεν he swore ἐν by τῷ the [One] ζῶντι living εἰς to τούς the αἰῶνας ages τῶν of the αἰώνων, ages, ὅς who ἔκτισεν created τόν - οὐρανόν heaven καί and τά the things ἐν in αὐτῷ it, καί and τήν the γῆν earth καί and τά the things ἐν in αὐτῇ it, καί and τήν the θάλασσαν sea καί and τά the things ἐν in αὐτῇ, it ὅτι -, Χρόνος Delay οὐκέτι no longer ἔσται, will there be! ἀλλ ̓ But ἐν in ταῖς the ἡμέραις days τῆς of the φωνῆς voice τοῦ of the ἑβδόμου seventh ἀγγέλου, angel, ὅταν when μέλλῃ he is about σαλπίζειν, to sound [the] trumpet, καί then ἐτελέσθη would be completed τό the μυστήριον mystery τοῦ - Θεοῦ, of God, ὡς as εὐηγγέλισεν proclaimed τούς the ἑαυτοῦ of Himself δούλους servants, τούς the προφήτας. prophets.

Καί And ἡ the φωνή voice ἥν that ἤκουσα I heard ἐκ out of τοῦ - οὐρανοῦ heaven πάλιν again λαλοῦσαν was speaking μετ ̓ with ἐμοῦ me, καί and λέγουσαν· saying, Ὕπαγε Go, λάβε take τό the βιβλίον little scroll τό - ἠνεῳγμένον having been opened ἐν in τῇ the χειρί hand τοῦ of the ἀγγέλου angel τοῦ - ἑστῶτος standing ἐπί upon τῆς the θαλάσσης sea, καί and ἐπί upon τῆς the γῆς. land. Καί And ἀπῆλθα I went πρός to τόν the ἄγγελον angel, λέγων saying αὐτῷ to him Δοῦναι Give μοι me τό the βιβλαρίδιον. little scroll. Καί And λέγει he says μοι· to me, Λάβε Take καί and κατάφαγε eat αὐτό, it; καί and πικρανεῖ it will make bitter σου your τήν - κοιλίαν, stomach, ἀλλ ̓ but ἐν in τῷ the στόματι mouth σου of you ἔσται it will be γλυκύ sweet ὡς as μέλι. honey.”

Καί And ἔλαβον I took τό the βιβλαρίδιον little scroll ἐκ out of τῆς the χειρός hand τοῦ of the ἀγγέλου angel, καί and κατέφαγον I ate αὐτό, it; καί and ἦν it was ἐν in τῷ the στόματι mouth μου of me ὡς as μέλι honey γλυκύ sweet; καί and ὅτε when ἔφαγον I had eaten αὐτό, it, ἐπικράνθη was made bitter ἡ the κοιλία stomach μου. of me. Καί And λέγουσιν they say μοι· to me, Δεῖ It is necessary σε for you πάλιν again προφητεῦσαι to prophesy ἐπί concerning λαοῖς peoples, καί and ἔθνεσιν nations, καί and γλώσσαις tongues, καί and βασιλεῦσιν kings πολλοῖς. many.

Καί And ἐδόθη was given μοι to me κάλαμος a measuring rod ὅμοιος like ῥάβδῳ, a staff, λέγων· saying, Ἔγειρε Rise καί and μέτρησον measure τόν the ναόν temple τοῦ - Θεοῦ of God, καί and τό the θυσιαστήριον altar, καί and τούς those προσκυνοῦντας worshiping ἐν in αὐτῷ. it. καί And τήν the αὐλήν courtyard τήν - ἔξωθεν outside τοῦ the ναοῦ temple, ἔκβαλε leave ἔξωθεν out, καί and μή not αὐτήν it μετρήσῃς, measure, ὅτι because ἐδόθη it has been given [up] τοῖς to the ἔθνεσιν, nations, καί and τήν the πόλιν city τήν - ἁγίαν holy πατήσουσιν they will trample upon μῆνας months τεσσεράκοντα forty καί and δύο. two.
