You came forth. Ἀπεκρίθη Answered αὐτοῖς them Ἰησοῦς· Jesus, Ἄρτι Now πιστεύετε; do you believe? ἰδού Behold, ἔρχεται is coming ὥρα an hour, καί and ἐλήλυθεν has come, ἵνα when σκορπισθῆτε you will be scattered, ἕκαστος each εἰς to τά the ἴδια own, κἀμέ and I μόνον alone ἀφῆτε· you shall leave; καί yet οὐ not εἰμί I am μόνος, alone, ὅτι for ὁ the Πατήρ Father μετ ̓ with ἐμοῦ Me ἐστίν. is. ταῦτα These things λελάληκα I have spoken ὑμῖν to you ἵνα so that ἐν in ἐμοί Me εἰρήνην peace ἔχητε. you may have. ἐν In τῷ the κόσμῳ world θλῖψιν tribulation ἔχετε· you have. ἀλλά But θαρσεῖτε, take courage; ἐγώ I νενίκηκα have overcome τόν the κόσμον. world.
Ταῦτα These things ἐλάλησεν spoke Ἰησοῦς Jesus, καί and ἐπάρας having lifted up τούς the ὀφθαλμούς eyes αὐτοῦ of Him εἰς to τόν - οὐρανόν heaven, εἶπεν· He said, Πάτερ, Father, ἐλήλυθεν has come ἡ the ὥρα· hour; δόξασον glorify σου Your τόν - Υἱόν, Son, ἵνα that ὁ the Υἱός Son δοξάσῃ may glorify σέ, You. καθώς As ἔδωκας You gave αὐτῷ Him ἐξουσίαν authority πάσης over all σαρκός, flesh, ἵνα so that πᾶν all ὅ whom δέδωκας You have given αὐτῷ Him, δώσῃ He may give αὐτοῖς to them ζωήν life αἰώνιον. eternal. αὕτη This δέ now ἐστίν is ἡ - αἰώνιος eternal ζωή life, ἵνα that γινώσκωσιν they may know σέ You, τόν the μόνον only ἀληθινόν true Θεόν God, καί and ὅν whom ἀπέστειλας You have sent, Ἰησοῦν Jesus Χριστόν. Christ. ἐγώ I σε You ἐδόξασα glorified ἐπί on τῆς the γῆς earth, τό the ἔργον work τελειώσας having completed ὅ that δέδωκας You have given μοι Me ἵνα that ποιήσω· I should do. καί And νῦν now δόξασον glorify με Me σύ, You, Πάτερ, Father, παρά with σεαυτῷ Yourself, τῇ with the δόξῃ glory ᾗ that εἶχον I had πρό before τοῦ - τόν the κόσμον world εἶναι existed, παρά with σοί. You.
Ἐφανέρωσα I revealed σου Your τό - ὄνομα name τοῖς to the ἀνθρώποις men οὕς whom ἔδωκας You have given μοι Me ἐκ out of τοῦ the κόσμου. world. σοί Yours ἦσαν they were, κἀμοί and to Me αὐτούς them ἔδωκας You gave, καί and τόν the λόγον word σου of You τετήρηκαν. they have kept. νῦν Now ἔγνωκαν they have known ὅτι that πάντα all things ὅσα whatever δέδωκας You have given μοι Me, παρά of σοῦ You εἰσίν· are; ὅτι for τά the ῥήματα words ἅ that ἔδωκας You have given μοι Me, δέδωκα I have given αὐτοῖς, them, καί and αὐτοί they ἔλαβον received [them] καί and ἔγνωσαν knew ἀληθῶς truly ὅτι that παρά from σοῦ You ἐξῆλθον, I came forth; καί and ἐπίστευσαν they believed ὅτι that σύ You με Me ἀπέστειλας. sent.
Ἐγώ I περί concerning αὐτῶν them ἐρωτῶ, am praying. οὐ Not περί concerning τοῦ the κόσμου world ἐρωτῶ do I pray, ἀλλά but περί concerning ὧν those whom δέδωκας You have given μοι, Me, ὅτι for σοί Yours εἰσίν, they are. καί And τά things ἐμά of mine πάντα all, σά Yours ἐστίν are; καί and τά - σά Yours, ἐμά, Mine; καί and δεδόξασμαι I have been glorified ἐν in αὐτοῖς. them. καί And οὐκέτι no longer εἰμί I am ἐν in τῷ the κόσμῳ, world, καί and yet αὐτοί themselves ἐν in τῷ the κόσμῳ world εἰσίν, they are, κἀγώ and I πρός to σέ You ἔρχομαι. am coming. Πάτερ Father ἅγιε, Holy, τήρησον keep αὐτούς them ἐν in τῷ the ὀνόματι name σου of You, ᾧ which δέδωκας You have given μοι, Me, ἵνα that ὦσιν they may be ἕν one καθώς as ἡμεῖς. we [are]. ὅτε When ἤμην I was μετ ̓ with αὐτῶν them, ἐγώ I ἐτήρουν was keeping αὐτούς them ἐν in τῷ the ὀνόματι name σου of You, ᾧ which δέδωκας You have given μοι, Me. καί And ἐφύλαξα, I guarded [them], καί and οὐδείς none ἐκ of αὐτῶν them ἀπώλετο has perished, εἰ if μή not ὁ the υἱός son τῆς - ἀπωλείας, of destruction, ἵνα that ἡ the γραφή Scripture πληρωθῇ. might be fulfilled. Νῦν Now δέ however πρός to σέ You ἔρχομαι I am coming; καί and ταῦτα these things λαλῶ I speak ἐν in τῷ the κόσμῳ world, ἵνα so that ἔχωσιν they may have τήν - χαράν joy τήν - ἐμήν My πεπληρωμένην fulfilled ἐν within ἑαυτοῖς. them. ἐγώ I δέδωκα have given αὐτοῖς them τόν the λόγον word σου of You, καί and ὁ the κόσμος world ἐμίσησεν hated αὐτούς, them, ὅτι because οὐ not εἰσίν they are ἐκ of τοῦ the κόσμου world, καθώς even as ἐγώ I οὐ not εἰμί am ἐκ of τοῦ the κόσμου. world. οὐκ Not ἐρωτῶ I do ask ἵνα that ἄρῃς You should take αὐτούς them ἐκ out of τοῦ the κόσμου, world, ἀλλ ̓ but ἵνα that τηρήσῃς You should keep αὐτούς them ἐκ from τοῦ - πονηροῦ. evil. ἐκ Of τοῦ the κόσμου world οὐ not εἰσίν they are, καθώς as ἐγώ I οὐ not εἰμί am ἐκ of τοῦ the κόσμου. world. ἁγίασον Sanctify αὐτούς them ἐν by τῇ the ἀληθείᾳ· truth; ὁ the λόγος word ὁ - σός of You ἀλήθεια truth ἐστίν. is. καθώς As ἐμέ Me ἀπέστειλας You sent εἰς into τόν the κόσμον, world, κἀγώ I also ἀπέστειλα sent αὐτούς them εἰς into τόν the κόσμον· world; καί and ὑπέρ for αὐτῶν them ἐγώ I ἁγιάζω sanctify ἐμαυτόν, Myself, ἵνα that ὦσιν may be καί also αὐτοί they ἡγιασμένοι sanctified ἐν in ἀληθείᾳ. truth.
οὐ Not περί for τούτων these δέ however ἐρωτῶ do I ask μόνον, only, ἀλλά but καί also περί for τῶν those πιστευόντων believing διά through τοῦ the λόγου word αὐτῶν of them εἰς in ἐμέ, Me, ἵνα that πάντες all ἕν one ὦσιν, may be, καθώς as σύ, You, πάτερ, Father, ἐν [are] in ἐμοί Me, κἀγώ and I ἐν in σοί, You, ἵνα that καί also αὐτοί they ἐν in ἡμῖν Us ὦσιν, may be, ἵνα that ὁ the κόσμος world πιστεύῃ may believe ὅτι that σύ You με Me ἀπέστειλας. sent. Κἀγώ And I τήν the δόξαν glory ἥν which δέδωκας You have given μοι Me, δέδωκα have given αὐτοῖς, them, ἵνα so that ὦσιν they may be ἕν one, καθώς as ἡμεῖς We ἕν· [are] one — ἐγώ I ἐν in αὐτοῖς them, καί and σύ You ἐν in ἐμοί, Me — ἵνα that ὦσιν they may be τετελειωμένοι perfected εἰς in ἕν, unity, ἵνα so that γινώσκῃ may know ὁ the κόσμος world ὅτι that σύ You με Me ἀπέστειλας sent καί and ἠγάπησας loved αὐτούς them καθώς even as ἐμέ Me ἠγάπησας. Πάτερ, Father, ὅ [those] whom δέδωκας You have given μοι, Me, θέλω I desire ἵνα that ὅπου where εἰμί am ἐγώ I, κἀκεῖνοι they also ὦσιν may be μετ ̓ with ἐμοῦ, Me, ἵνα that θεωρῶσιν they may behold τήν - δόξαν glory τήν - ἐμήν, My, ἥν that δέδωκας You gave μοι Me ὅτι because ἠγάπησας You loved με Me πρό before καταβολῆς [the] foundation κόσμου. of [the] world. Πάτερ Father δίκαιε, righteous, καί although ὁ the κόσμος world σε You οὐ not ἔγνω, has known, ἐγώ I δέ now σε You ἔγνων, have known, καί and οὗτοι these ἔγνωσαν have known ὅτι that σύ You με Me ἀπέστειλας· sent. καί And ἐγνώρισα I made known αὐτοῖς to them τό the ὄνομα name σου of You, καί and γνωρίσω, will make [it] known, ἵνα so that ἡ the ἀγάπη love ἥν with which ἠγάπησας You loved με Me ἐν in αὐτοῖς them ᾖ may be, κἀγώ and I ἐν in αὐτοῖς. them.
