Ἦν There was δέ now ἄνθρωπος a man ἐκ of τῶν the Φαρισαίων, Pharisees, Νικόδημος Nicodemus ὄνομα name αὐτῷ, to him, ἄρχων a ruler τῶν of the Ἰουδαίων· Jews; οὗτος He ἦλθεν came πρός to αὐτόν Him νυκτός by night καί and εἶπεν said αὐτῷ· to Him, Ῥαββί, Rabbi, οἴδαμεν we know ὅτι that ἀπό from Θεοῦ God ἐλήλυθας You have come, διδάσκαλος· a teacher; οὐδείς no one γάρ for δύναται is able ταῦτα these τά - σημεῖα signs ποιεῖν to do ἅ that σύ You ποιεῖς, do, ἐάν if μή not ᾖ should be ὁ - Θεός God μετ ̓ with αὐτοῦ. him.
