Καί And ἀποκριθείς answering, ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus εἶπεν said αὐτῷ· to him, Γέγραπται· It has been written: Κύριον [The] Lord τόν - Θεόν God σου of you, προσκυνήσεις you shall worship καί and αὐτῷ Him μόνῳ only λατρεύσεις. you shall serve.’

Ἤγαγεν He led δέ also αὐτόν Him εἰς to Ἰερουσαλήμ Jerusalem καί and ἔστησεν set ἐπί upon τό the πτερύγιον pinnacle τοῦ of the ἱεροῦ temple, καί and εἶπεν said αὐτῷ· to Him, εἰ If Υἱός [the] Son εἶ You are τοῦ - Θεοῦ, of God, βάλε cast σεαυτόν Yourself ἐντεῦθεν from here κάτω· down. γέγραπται It has been written γάρ for ὅτι -: Τοῖς To the ἀγγέλοις angels αὐτοῦ of Him ἐντελεῖται He will give orders περί concerning σοῦ You, τοῦ - διαφυλάξαι to guard σε You;

καί and ὅτι - ἐπί in χειρῶν [their] hands ἀροῦσιν will they bear σε, You, μήποτε lest ever προσκόψῃς You strike πρός against λίθον a stone τόν the πόδα foot σου. of You.’

Καί And ἀποκριθείς answering, εἶπεν said αὐτῷ to him ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus ὅτι -, Εἴρηται· It has been said, οὐκ Not ἐκπειράσεις you shall test Κύριον [the] Lord τόν the Θεόν God σου. of you.’

Καί And συντελέσας having finished πάντα every πειρασμόν temptation, ὁ the διάβολος devil ἀπέστη departed ἀπ ̓ from αὐτοῦ Him ἄχρι until καιροῦ. an opportune time.

Καί And ὑπέστρεψεν returned ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus ἐν in τῇ the δυνάμει power τοῦ of the Πνεύματος Spirit εἰς to τήν - Γαλιλαίαν. Galilee; καί and φήμη a report ἐξῆλθεν went out καθ ̓ into ὅλης all τῆς the περιχώρου surrounding region περί concerning αὐτοῦ. Him. καί And αὐτός He ἐδίδασκεν was teaching ἐν in ταῖς the συναγωγαῖς synagogues αὐτῶν of them, δοξαζόμενος being glorified ὑπό by πάντων. all.

Καί And ἦλθεν He came εἰς to Ναζαρά, Nazareth, οὗ where ἦν He had been τεθραμμένος, brought up; καί and εἰσῆλθεν He entered κατά according to τό the εἰωθός custom αὐτῷ to Him, ἐν on τῇ the ἡμέρᾳ day τῶν of the σαββάτων Sabbaths, εἰς into τήν the συναγωγήν synagogue, καί and ἀνέστη stood up ἀναγνῶναι. to read. καί And ἐπεδόθη there was given αὐτῷ to Him βιβλίον [the] scroll of τοῦ the προφήτου prophet Ἠσαΐου Isaiah, καί and ἀναπτύξας having unrolled τό the βιβλίον scroll, εὗρεν He found τόν the τόπον place οὗ where ἦν it was γεγραμμένον· written: Πνεῦμα [The] Spirit Κυρίου of [the] Lord [is] ἐπ ̓ upon ἐμέ Me, Οὗ of which εἵνεκεν because ἔχρισεν He has anointed με Me Εὐαγγελίσασθαι to preach good news πτωχοῖς, to [the] poor. Ἀπέσταλκεν He has sent με, Me κηρῦξαι to proclaim αἰχμαλώτοις to [the] captives ἄφεσιν deliverance, Καί and τυφλοῖς to [the] blind ἀνάβλεψιν, recovery of sight, Ἀποστεῖλαι to send forth τεθραυσμένους [the] oppressed ἐν in ἀφέσει, deliverance, Κηρῦξαι to proclaim ἐνιαυτόν [the] year Κυρίου of [the] Lord’s δεκτόν. favor.”

Καί And πτύξας having rolled up τό the βιβλίον scroll, ἀποδούς having delivered [it] τῷ to the ὑπηρέτῃ attendant, ἐκάθισεν· He sat down, καί and πάντων of all οἱ the ὀφθαλμοί eyes ἐν in τῇ the συναγωγῇ synagogue ἦσαν were ἀτενίζοντες fixed upon αὐτῷ. Him. ἤρξατο He began δέ then λέγειν to say πρός to αὐτούς them ὅτι -, Σήμερον Today πεπλήρωται is fulfilled ἡ the γραφή Scripture αὕτη this, ἐν in τοῖς the ὠσίν hearing ὑμῶν. of you. Καί And κατῆλθεν He went down εἰς to Καφαρναούμ Capernaum, πόλιν a city τῆς - Γαλιλαίας. of Galilee. καί And ἦν He was διδάσκων teaching αὐτούς them ἐν on τοῖς the σάββασιν· Sabbaths; καί and ἐξεπλήσσοντο they were astonished ἐπί at τῇ the διδαχῇ teaching αὐτοῦ, of Him, ὅτι for ἐν with ἐξουσίᾳ authority ἦν was ὁ the λόγος message αὐτοῦ. of Him.

Καί And ἐν in τῇ the συναγωγῇ synagogue ἦν was ἄνθρωπος a man ἔχων having πνεῦμα a spirit δαιμονίου of a demon ἀκαθάρτου unclean; καί and ἀνέκραξεν he cried out φωνῇ in a voice μεγάλῃ· loud, Ἔα, Ha! τί What ἡμῖν to us καί and σοί, to You, Ἰησοῦ Jesus, Ναζαρηνέ; of Nazareth? ἦλθες Are You come ἀπολέσαι to destroy ἡμᾶς; us? οἶδα I know σε You τίς who εἶ, are, ὁ the Ἅγιος Holy [One] τοῦ - Θεοῦ. of God. Καί And ἐπετίμησεν rebuked αὐτῷ him ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus, λέγων· saying, Φιμώθητι Be silent καί and ἔξελθε come forth ἀπ ̓ out of αὐτοῦ. him! καί And ῥίψαν having thrown αὐτόν him τό the δαιμόνιον demon εἰς into τό the μέσον midst, ἐξῆλθεν it came out ἀπ ̓ from αὐτοῦ him, μηδέν in nothing βλάψαν having hurt αὐτόν. him. Καί And ἐγένετο came θάμβος astonishment ἐπί upon πάντας all, καί and συνελάλουν they were speaking πρός to ἀλλήλους one another, λέγοντες· saying, Τίς What ὁ - λόγος word οὗτος [is] this, ὅτι that ἐν with ἐξουσίᾳ authority καί and δυνάμει power ἐπιτάσσει He commands τοῖς the ἀκαθάρτοις unclean πνεύμασιν spirits, καί and ἐξέρχονται; they come out? καί And ἐξεπορεύετο was spreading ἦχος the report περί concerning αὐτοῦ Him εἰς into πάντα every τόπον place τῆς of the περιχώρου. surrounding region.

Ἀναστάς Having risen up δέ then ἀπό out of τῆς the συναγωγῆς synagogue, εἰσῆλθεν He entered εἰς into τήν the οἰκίαν house Σίμωνος. of Simon. πενθερά [The] mother-in-law δέ then τοῦ - Σίμωνος of Simon ἦν was συνεχομένη oppressed with πυρετῷ a fever μεγάλῳ great; καί and ἠρώτησαν they appealed αὐτόν to Him περί for αὐτῆς. her. καί And ἐπιστάς having stood ἐπάνω over αὐτῆς her, ἐπετίμησεν He rebuked τῷ the πυρετῷ fever, καί and ἀφῆκεν it left αὐτήν· her; παραχρῆμα immediately δέ then ἀναστᾶσα having arisen, διηκόνει she began to serve αὐτοῖς. them.

Ἐγένετο It came to pass δέ then ἐν in τῷ - τόν the ὄχλον crowd ἐπικεῖσθαι pressing on αὐτῷ Him καί also ἀκούειν to hear τόν the λόγον word τοῦ of Θεοῦ God, καί and αὐτός He ἦν was ἑστώς standing παρά by τήν the λίμνην lake Γεννησαρέτ of Gennesaret, καί and εἶδεν He saw δύο two πλοῖα boats ἑστῶτα lying παρά by τήν the λίμνην· lake; οἱ - δέ but ἁλιεῖς the fishermen ἀπ ̓ from αὐτῶν them ἀποβάντες having gone out, ἔπλυνον were washing τά the δίκτυα. nets. ἐμβάς Having entered δέ then εἰς into ἕν one τῶν of the πλοίων, boats, ὅ which ἦν was Σίμωνος, Simon’s, ἠρώτησεν He asked αὐτόν him ἀπό from τῆς the γῆς land ἐπαναγαγεῖν to put off ὀλίγον· a little. καθίσας Having sat down δέ then, ἐκ from τοῦ the πλοίου boat ἐδίδασκεν He was teaching τούς the ὄχλους. crowds.

ὡς When δέ then ἐπαύσατο He left off λαλῶν, speaking, εἶπεν He said πρός to τόν - Σίμωνα· Simon, Ἐπανάγαγε Put off εἰς into τό the βάθος deep καί and χαλάσατε let down τά the δίκτυα nets ὑμῶν of you εἰς for ἄγραν. a catch. Καί And ἀποκριθείς answering, Σίμων Simon εἶπεν· said, Ἐπιστάτα, Master, δι ̓ through ὅλης whole νυκτός night κοπιάσαντες having toiled, οὐδέν nothing ἐλάβομεν· have we taken; ἐπί at δέ however τῷ the ῥήματι word σου of You, χαλάσω I will let down τά the δίκτυα. nets. καί And τοῦτο this ποιήσαντες having done, συνέκλεισαν they enclosed πλῆθος a multitude ἰχθύων of fishes πολύ, great; διερρήσσετο were breaking δέ now τά the δίκτυα nets αὐτῶν. of them. καί And κατένευσαν they beckoned τοῖς to the μετόχοις partners ἐν in τῷ the ἑτέρῳ other πλοίῳ boat, τοῦ - ἐλθόντας having come, συλλαβέσθαι to help αὐτοῖς· them, καί and ἦλθον they came καί and ἔπλησαν filled ἀμφότερα both τά the πλοῖα boats ὥστε so that βυθίζεσθαι were sinking αὐτά. they. Καί And ἐγένετο it came to pass ἐν in τῷ - εἶναι being αὐτόν His ἐν in μιᾷ one τῶν of the πόλεων cities, καί that ἰδού behold, ἀνήρ a man πλήρης full λέπρας· of leprosy, ἰδών having seen δέ then τόν - Ἰησοῦν, Jesus, πεσών having fallen ἐπί upon πρόσωπον [his] face, ἐδεήθη begged αὐτοῦ Him, λέγων· saying, Κύριε, Lord, ἐάν if θέλῃς You would be willing, δύνασαι You are able με me καθαρίσαι. to cleanse. Καί And ἐκτείνας having stretched out τήν the χεῖρα hand, ἥψατο He touched αὐτοῦ him, λέγων· saying, Θέλω, I am willing; καθαρίσθητι· be you cleansed! καί And εὐθέως immediately ἡ the λέπρα leprosy ἀπῆλθεν departed ἀπ ̓ from αὐτοῦ. him. Καί And αὐτός He παρήγγειλεν ordered αὐτῷ him μηδενί no one εἰπεῖν, to tell: Ἀλλά But ἀπελθών having gone, δεῖξον show σεαυτόν yourself τῷ to the ἱερεῖ priest, καί and προσένεγκε offer περί for τοῦ the καθαρισμοῦ cleansing σου of you, καθώς as προσέταξεν commanded Μωϋσῆς, Moses, εἰς for μαρτύριον a testimony αὐτοῖς. to them.
