Καί And περί about ἐνδύματος clothing τί why μεριμνᾶτε; are you anxious? καταμάθετε Observe τά the κρίνα lilies τοῦ of the ἀγροῦ field, πῶς how αὐξάνουσιν· they grow: οὐ [They do] not κοπιῶσιν labor οὐδέ nor νήθουσιν· do they spin. λέγω I say δέ however ὑμῖν to you ὅτι that οὐδέ not even Σολομών Solomon ἐν in πάσῃ all τῇ the δόξῃ glory αὐτοῦ of him περιεβάλετο was adorned ὡς like ἕν one τούτων. of these. εἰ If δέ however τόν the χόρτον grass τοῦ of the ἀγροῦ field, σήμερον today ὄντα being [here], καί and αὔριον tomorrow εἰς into κλίβανον the furnace βαλλόμενον being thrown, ὁ - Θεός God οὕτως thus ἀμφιέννυσιν, clothes, οὐ [will He] not πολλῷ much μᾶλλον more ὑμᾶς, you, ὀλιγόπιστοι; O [you] of little faith? Μή Not οὖν therefore μεριμνήσητε be anxious, λέγοντες· saying, Τί What φάγωμεν; shall we eat? ἤ· Or Τί what πίωμεν; shall we drink? ἤ· Or Τί what περιβαλώμεθα; shall we wear? πάντα All γάρ for ταῦτα these things τά the ἔθνη Gentiles ἐπιζητοῦσιν· seek after; οἶδεν knows γάρ for ὁ the Πατήρ Father ὑμῶν of you ὁ - οὐράνιος Heavenly ὅτι that χρῄζετε you have need τούτων of them ἁπάντων. all. ζητεῖτε Seek δέ however πρῶτον first τήν the βασιλείαν kingdom τοῦ of θεοῦ God καί and τήν the δικαιοσύνην righteousness αὐτοῦ, of Him, καί and ταῦτα these things πάντα all προστεθήσεται will be added ὑμῖν. to you. Μή Not κρίνετε, do judge, ἵνα that μή not κριθῆτε· you should be judged. ἐν With ᾧ whatever γάρ for κρίματι verdict κρίνετε you judge, κριθήσεσθε, you will be judged; καί and ἐν with ᾧ whatever μέτρῳ measure μετρεῖτε you measure, μετρηθήσεται it will be measured again ὑμῖν. to you. Τί Why δέ now βλέπεις do you look at τό the κάρφος splinter τό that [is] ἐν in τῷ the ὀφθαλμῷ eye τοῦ the ἀδελφοῦ brother σου, of you, τήν - δέ and ἐν the in τῷ - σῷ your [own] ὀφθαλμῷ eye δοκόν beam οὐ not κατανοεῖς; notice? ἤ Or πῶς how ἐρεῖς shall you say τῷ to the ἀδελφῷ brother σου· of you, Ἄφες Permit that ἐκβάλω I might cast out τό the κάρφος splinter ἐκ from τοῦ the ὀφθαλμοῦ eye σου, of you; καί and ἰδού behold, ἡ the δοκός beam ἐν [is] in τῷ the ὀφθαλμῷ eye σοῦ; of you? ὑποκριτά, Hypocrite! ἔκβαλε Cast out πρῶτον first ἐκ from τοῦ the ὀφθαλμοῦ eye σοῦ of you τήν the δοκόν, beam, καί and τότε then διαβλέψεις you will see clearly ἐκβαλεῖν to cast out τό the κάρφος splinter ἐκ from τοῦ the ὀφθαλμοῦ eye τοῦ of the ἀδελφοῦ brother σου. of you.
Μή Not δῶτε give τό that which [is] ἅγιον holy τοῖς to the κυσίν dogs, μηδέ nor βάλητε cast τούς the μαργαρίτας pearls ὑμῶν of you ἔμπροσθεν before τῶν the χοίρων, pigs, μήποτε not lest καταπατήσουσιν they shall trample upon αὐτούς them ἐν with τοῖς the ποσίν feet αὐτῶν of them, καί and στραφέντες having turned, ῥήξωσιν they tear to pieces ὑμᾶς. you.
Αἰτεῖτε Ask καί and δοθήσεται it will be given ὑμῖν, to you; ζητεῖτε seek καί and εὑρήσετε, you will find; κρούετε knock καί and ἀνοιγήσεται it will be opened ὑμῖν· to you. πᾶς Everyone γάρ for ὁ - αἰτῶν asking λαμβάνει receives; καί and ὁ the [one] ζητῶν seeking, εὑρίσκει finds; καί and τῷ to the [one] κρούοντι knocking, ἀνοιγήσεται. it will be opened. Ἤ Or τίς which ἐστίν is ἐκ of ὑμῶν you ἄνθρωπος, a man ὅν whom αἰτήσει will ask for ὁ the υἱός son αὐτοῦ of him ἄρτον, bread, μή not λίθον a stone ἐπιδώσει will he give αὐτῷ; him? ἤ Or καί also ἰχθύν a fish αἰτήσει, he will ask for, μή not ὄφιν a serpent ἐπιδώσει will he give αὐτῷ; him? εἰ If οὖν therefore ὑμεῖς you, πονηροί evil ὄντες being, οἴδατε know δόματα gifts ἀγαθά good διδόναι to give τοῖς to the τέκνοις children ὑμῶν, of you, πόσῳ how much μᾶλλον more ὁ the Πατήρ Father ὑμῶν of you ὁ who [is] ἐν in τοῖς the οὐρανοῖς heavens δώσει will give ἀγαθά good things τοῖς to those αἰτοῦσιν asking αὐτόν. Εἰσέλθατε Enter διά through τῆς the στενῆς narrow πύλης· gate. ὅτι For πλατεῖα wide [is] ἡ the πύλη gate καί and εὐρύχωρος broad ἡ the ὁδός way ἡ - ἀπάγουσα leading εἰς to τήν - ἀπώλειαν destruction, καί and πολλοί many εἰσίν are οἱ those εἰσερχόμενοι entering δι ̓ through αὐτῆς· it. ὅτι For στενή small [is] ἡ the πύλη gate καί and τεθλιμμένη compressed ἡ the ὁδός way ἡ - ἀπάγουσα leading εἰς to τήν - ζωήν life, καί and ὀλίγοι few εἰσίν are οἱ those εὑρίσκοντες finding αὐτήν. it.
Προσέχετε But beware ἀπό of τῶν the ψευδοπροφητῶν, false prophets, οἵτινες who ἔρχονται come πρός to ὑμᾶς you ἐν in ἐνδύμασιν clothing προβάτων, of sheep; ἔσωθεν inwardly δέ however εἰσίν they are λύκοι wolves ἅρπαγες. ravenous. ἀπό By τῶν the καρπῶν fruits αὐτῶν of them ἐπιγνώσεσθε you will know αὐτούς. them. μήτι Not συλλέγουσιν do they gather ἀπό from ἀκανθῶν thorns σταφυλάς grapes, ἤ or ἀπό from τριβόλων thistles σῦκα; figs? οὕτως So πᾶν every δένδρον tree ἀγαθόν good, καρπούς fruits καλούς good ποιεῖ, produces; τό - δέ but σαπρόν the bad δένδρον tree, καρπούς fruits πονηρούς bad ποιεῖ. produces. οὐ Not δύναται is able δένδρον a tree ἀγαθόν good, καρπούς fruits πονηρούς bad ποιεῖν to produce; οὐδέ nor δένδρον a tree σαπρόν bad, καρπούς fruits καλούς good ποιεῖν. to produce. πᾶν Every δένδρον tree μή not ποιοῦν producing καρπόν fruit καλόν good ἐκκόπτεται is cut down καί and εἰς into πῦρ fire βάλλεται. is thrown. ἄρα γέ Then surely ἀπό by τῶν the καρπῶν fruits αὐτῶν of them ἐπιγνώσεσθε you will know αὐτούς. them.
οὐ Not πᾶς everyone ὁ - λέγων saying μοι· to Me, Κύριε Lord, Κύριε, Lord, εἰσελεύσεται will enter εἰς into τήν the βασιλείαν kingdom τῶν of the οὐρανῶν, heavens, ἀλλ ̓ but ὁ the [one] ποιῶν doing τό the θέλημα will τοῦ the Πατρός Father μου of Me, τοῦ who [is] ἐν in τοῖς the οὐρανοῖς. heavens. πολλοί Many ἐροῦσιν will say μοι to Me ἐν in ἐκείνῃ that τῇ the ἡμέρᾳ· day, Κύριε Lord, Κύριε, Lord, οὐ not τῷ in σῷ Your ὀνόματι name ἐπροφητεύσαμεν, did we prophesy, καί and τῷ [in] σῷ Your ὀνόματι name δαιμόνια demons ἐξεβάλομεν, cast out, καί and τῷ [in] σῷ your ὀνόματι name δυνάμεις miracles πολλάς many ἐποιήσαμεν; perform? καί And τότε then ὁμολογήσω I will declare αὐτοῖς to them ὅτι -, Οὐδέποτε Never ἔγνων knew I ὑμᾶς· you; ἀποχωρεῖτε depart you ἀπ ̓ from ἐμοῦ Me, οἱ those ἐργαζόμενοι working τήν - ἀνομίαν. lawlessness.
Πᾶς Everyone οὖν therefore, ὅστις whoever ἀκούει hears μου My τούς - λόγους words τούτους these, καί and ποιεῖ does αὐτούς, them, ὁμοιωθήσεται will be like ἀνδρί a man φρονίμῳ, wise, ὅστις who ᾠκοδόμησεν built αὐτοῦ his τήν - οἰκίαν house ἐπί upon τήν the πέτραν· rock. καί And κατέβη came down ἡ the βροχή rain, καί and ἦλθον came οἱ the ποταμοί torrents, καί and ἔπνευσαν blew οἱ the ἄνεμοι winds, καί and προσέπεσαν beat τῇ that οἰκίᾳ house ἐκείνῃ, upon; καί and οὐ not ἔπεσεν, it fell, τεθεμελίωτο it had been founded γάρ for ἐπί upon τήν the πέτραν. rock. καί And πᾶς everyone ὁ - ἀκούων hearing μου My τούς - λόγους words τούτους these, καί and μή not ποιῶν doing αὐτούς them, ὁμοιωθήσεται he will be likened ἀνδρί to a man μωρῷ, foolish, ὅστις who ᾠκοδόμησεν built αὐτοῦ of him τήν the οἰκίαν house ἐπί upon τήν the ἄμμον· sand. καί And κατέβη came down ἡ the βροχή rain, καί and ἦλθον came οἱ the ποταμοί torrents, καί and ἔπνευσαν blew οἱ the ἄνεμοι winds, καί and προσέκοψαν beat τῇ that οἰκίᾳ house ἐκείνῃ, upon, καί and ἔπεσεν it fell — καί and ἦν was ἡ the πτῶσις fall αὐτῆς of it μεγάλη. great. Καί And ἐγένετο it came to pass, ὅτε when ἐτέλεσεν had finished ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus τούς the λόγους words τούτους, these, ἐξεπλήσσοντο were astonished οἱ the ὄχλοι crowds ἐπί at τῇ the διδαχῇ teaching αὐτοῦ· of Him. ἦν He was γάρ for διδάσκων teaching αὐτούς them ὡς as ἐξουσίαν authority ἔχων having, καί and οὐ not ὡς as οἱ the γραμματεῖς scribes αὐτῶν. of them. Καταβάντος Having come down δέ now αὐτοῦ He ἀπό from τοῦ the ὄρους mountain, ἠκολούθησαν followed αὐτῷ Him ὄχλοι crowds πολλοί. great. καί And ἰδού behold, λεπρός a leper προσελθών having come, προσεκύνει was worshipping αὐτῷ Him, λέγων· saying, Κύριε, Lord, ἐάν if θέλῃς You are willing, δύνασαι You are able με me καθαρίσαι. to cleanse. Καί And ἐκτείνας having stretched out τήν the χεῖρα hand, ἥψατο He touched αὐτοῦ him, λέγων· saying, Θέλω, I am willing; καθαρίσθητι· be you cleansed! καί And εὐθέως immediately ἐκαθαρίσθη was cleansed αὐτοῦ his ἡ - λέπρα. leprosy. καί And λέγει says αὐτῷ to him ὁ - Ἰησοῦς· Jesus, Ὅρα See that μηδενί no one εἴπῃς, you tell. ἀλλά But ὕπαγε go, σεαυτόν yourself δεῖξον show τῷ to the ἱερεῖ priest, καί and προσένεγκον offer τό the δῶρον gift ὅ that προσέταξεν commanded Μωϋσῆς, Moses, εἰς for μαρτύριον a testimony αὐτοῖς. to them.
Εἰσελθόντος Having entered δέ now αὐτοῦ He εἰς into Καφαρναούμ Capernaum, προσῆλθεν came αὐτῷ to Him ἑκατόνταρχος a centurion, παρακαλῶν imploring αὐτόν Him, καί and λέγων· saying, Κύριε, Lord, ὁ the παῖς servant μου of me βέβληται is lying ἐν in τῇ the οἰκίᾳ house, παραλυτικός, paralyzed, δεινῶς grievously βασανιζόμενος. tormented. Καί And λέγει He says αὐτῷ· to him, Ἐγώ I ἐλθών having come, θεραπεύσω will heal αὐτόν. him. Καί And ἀποκριθείς answering ὁ the ἑκατόνταρχος centurion ἔφη· said, Κύριε, Lord, οὐ not εἰμί I am ἱκανός worthy ἵνα that μου of me ὑπό under τήν the στέγην roof εἰσέλθῃς, You should come; ἀλλά but μόνον only εἰπέ speak λόγῳ, the word, καί and ἰαθήσεται will be healed ὁ the παῖς servant μου. of me. καί Also γάρ for ἐγώ I ἄνθρωπος a man εἰμί am ὑπό under ἐξουσίαν, authority, ἔχων having ὑπ ̓ under ἐμαυτόν me στρατιώτας, soldiers; καί and λέγω I say τούτῳ· to this [one], Πορεύθητι, Go, καί and πορεύεται, he goes; καί and ἄλλῳ· to another, Ἔρχου, Come, καί and ἔρχεται, he comes; καί and τῷ to δούλῳ [the] servant μου· of me, Ποίησον Do τοῦτο, this, καί and ποιεῖ. he does [it]. Ἀκούσας Having heard δέ now, ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus ἐθαύμασεν marveled, καί and εἶπεν said τοῖς to those ἀκολουθοῦσιν· following, Ἀμήν Truly λέγω I say ὑμῖν, to you, παρ ̓ except οὐδενί no one τοσαύτην so great πίστιν faith ἐν in τῷ - Ἰσραήλ Israel εὗρον. have I found. λέγω I say δέ now ὑμῖν to you ὅτι that πολλοί many ἀπό from ἀνατολῶν east καί and δυσμῶν west ἥξουσιν will come, καί and ἀνακλιθήσονται will recline μετά with Ἀβραάμ Abraham καί and Ἰσαάκ Isaac καί and Ἰακώβ Jacob ἐν in τῇ the βασιλείᾳ kingdom τῶν of the οὐρανῶν, heavens; οἱ the δέ however υἱοί sons τῆς of the βασιλείας kingdom ἐκβληθήσονται will be cast out, εἰς into τό the σκότος darkness τό the ἐξώτερον· outer, ἐκεῖ there ἔσται will be ὁ the κλαυθμός weeping καί and ὁ the βρυγμός gnashing τῶν of the ὀδόντων. teeth. Ἰδών Having seen δέ now ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus ὄχλον a crowd περί around αὐτόν Him, ἐκέλευσεν He commanded ἀπελθεῖν to depart εἰς to τό the πέραν. other side.
