οἱ - δέ And ἀρχιερεῖς the chief priests καί and ὅλον all τό the συνέδριον Council ἐζήτουν were seeking κατά against τοῦ - Ἰησοῦ Jesus μαρτυρίαν testimony, εἰς to τό - θανατῶσαι put to death αὐτόν, Him, καί but οὐ not ηὕρισκον· they were finding [any]. πολλοί Many γάρ for ἐψευδομαρτύρουν were bearing false testimony κατ ̓ against αὐτοῦ, Him, καί but ἴσαι alike αἱ their μαρτυρίαι testimonies οὐ not ἦσαν. were.
