ὑμεῖς You δέ however λέγετε· say [that] Ἐάν if εἴπῃ says ἄνθρωπος a man τῷ to the πατρί father ἤ or τῇ the μητρί· mother, Κορβᾶν, [It is] Corban, ὅ that ἐστίν is, Δῶρον, a gift, Ὅ whatever ἐάν if ἐκ from ἐμοῦ me ὠφεληθῇς, you might be profited, οὐκέτι no longer ἀφίετε do you allow αὐτόν him οὐδέν anything ποιῆσαι to do τῷ for the πατρί father ἤ or τῇ the μητρί, mother, ἀκυροῦντες making void τόν the λόγον word τοῦ - Θεοῦ of God τῇ for the παραδόσει tradition ὑμῶν of you ᾗ which παρεδώκατε· you have handed down. καί And παρόμοια like [things] τοιαῦτα such πολλά many ποιεῖτε. you do.
Καί And προσκαλεσάμενος having called to [Him] πάλιν again τόν the ὄχλον crowd, ἔλεγεν He was saying αὐτοῖς· to them, Ἀκούσατε Listen to μου Me, πάντες all, καί and σύνετε. understand: οὐδέν Nothing ἐστίν there is ἔξωθεν from outside τοῦ the ἀνθρώπου man εἰσπορευόμενον entering εἰς into αὐτόν him, ὅ which δύναται is able κοινῶσαι to defile αὐτόν, him; ἀλλά but τά the things ἐκ out of τοῦ the ἀνθρώπου man ἐκπορευόμενα proceeding ἐστίν are τά the things κοινοῦντα defiling τόν the ἄνθρωπον. man.” Καί And ὅτε when εἰσῆλθεν He went εἰς into οἶκον [the] house ἀπό from τοῦ the ὄχλου, crowd, ἐπηρώτων were asking αὐτόν Him οἱ the μαθηταί disciples αὐτοῦ of Him τήν the παραβολήν. parable. Καί And λέγει He says αὐτοῖς· to them, Οὕτως Thus καί also ὑμεῖς you ἀσύνετοι without understanding ἐστέ; are? οὐ Not νοεῖτε understand you ὅτι that πᾶν everything τό - ἔξωθεν from outside εἰσπορευόμενον entering εἰς into τόν the ἄνθρωπον man, οὐ not δύναται is able αὐτόν him κοινῶσαι to defile, ὅτι because οὐ not εἰσπορεύεται it enters αὐτοῦ of him εἰς into τήν the καρδίαν heart, ἀλλ ̓ but εἰς into τήν the κοιλίαν, belly, καί and εἰς into τόν the ἀφεδρῶνα sewer ἐκπορεύεται, goes out?” καθαρίζων purifying πάντα all τά the βρώματα; food. Ἔλεγεν He was saying δέ now ὅτι -, Τό That ἐκ out of τοῦ the ἀνθρώπου man ἐκπορευόμενον, going forth, ἐκεῖνο that κοινοῖ defiles τόν the ἄνθρωπον. man. ἔσωθεν Within γάρ for ἐκ from τῆς the καρδίας heart τῶν - ἀνθρώπων of men οἱ - διαλογισμοί thoughts οἱ - κακοί evil ἐκπορεύονται, go forth, πορνεῖαι, sexual immorality, κλοπαί, thefts, φόνοι, murders, μοιχεῖαι, adulteries, πλεονεξίαι, covetous desires, πονηρίαι, wickednesses, δόλος, deceit, ἀσέλγεια, sensuality, ὀφθαλμός an eye πονηρός, evil, βλασφημία, slander, ὑπερηφανία, pride, ἀφροσύνη· foolishness. πάντα All ταῦτα these τά - πονηρά evils ἔσωθεν from within ἐκπορεύεται go forth, καί and κοινοῖ they defile τόν the ἄνθρωπον. man.
Ἐκεῖθεν From there δέ also ἀναστάς having risen up, ἀπῆλθεν He went away εἰς into τά the ὅρια region Τύρου. of Tyre. Καί And εἰσελθών having entered εἰς into οἰκίαν a house, οὐδένα no one ἤθελεν He was wishing γνῶναι, to know [it], καί and οὐ not ἠδυνήθη He was able λαθεῖν· to be hidden. ἀλλ ̓ But εὐθύς immediately ἀκούσασα having heard γυνή a woman περί about αὐτοῦ, Him, ἧς of whom εἶχεν had τό the θυγάτριον little daughter αὐτῆς of her πνεῦμα spirit ἀκάθαρτον, unclean, ἐλθοῦσα having come, προσέπεσεν fell πρός at τούς the πόδας feet αὐτοῦ· of Him. ἡ - δέ Now γυνή the woman ἦν was Ἑλληνίς, Gentile, Συροφοινίκισσα Syrophoenician τῷ by γένει· race, καί and ἠρώτα kept asking αὐτόν Him ἵνα that τό the δαιμόνιον demon ἐκβάλῃ He should cast forth ἐκ out of τῆς the θυγατρός daughter αὐτῆς. of her. Καί And πάλιν again ἐξελθών having departed ἐκ from τῶν the ὁρίων region Τύρου of Tyre, ἦλθεν He came διά through Σιδῶνος Sidon, εἰς to τήν the θάλασσαν Sea τῆς - Γαλιλαίας of Galilee ἀνά through μέσον [the] midst τῶν of the ὁρίων region Δεκαπόλεως. of [the] Decapolis. Καί And φέρουσιν they bring αὐτῷ to Him κωφόν a deaf man καί and μογιλάλον who spoke with difficulty, καί and παρακαλοῦσιν they implore αὐτόν Him ἵνα that ἐπιθῇ He might lay αὐτῷ on him τήν the χεῖρα. hand. Καί And ἀπολαβόμενος having taken away αὐτόν him ἀπό from τοῦ the ὄχλου crowd κατ ̓ aside ἰδίαν privately, ἔβαλεν He put τούς the δακτύλους fingers αὐτοῦ of Him εἰς to τά the ὦτα ears αὐτοῦ of him, καί and πτύσας having spit, ἥψατο He touched τῆς the γλώσσης tongue αὐτοῦ, of him, καί and ἀναβλέψας having looked up εἰς to τόν - οὐρανόν heaven ἐστέναξεν He sighed deeply, καί and λέγει He says αὐτῷ· to him, Ἐφφαθά, Ephphatha! ὅ that ἐστίν is, Διανοίχθητι. Be opened!” καί And εὐθύς immediately ἠνοίγησαν were opened αὐτοῦ his αἱ - ἀκοαί, ears, καί and ἐλύθη was loosed ὁ the δεσμός band τῆς of the γλώσσης tongue αὐτοῦ of him, καί and ἐλάλει he began speaking ὀρθῶς. plainly. Καί And διεστείλατο He instructed αὐτοῖς them ἵνα that μηδενί no one λέγωσιν· they should tell. ὅσον As much as δέ however αὐτοῖς He διεστέλλετο, kept instructing αὐτοί them, μᾶλλον more περισσότερον abundantly ἐκήρυσσον. they were proclaiming [it]. καί And ὑπερπερισσῶς above measure ἐξεπλήσσοντο they were astonished, λέγοντες· saying, Καλῶς Well πάντα all things πεποίηκεν, He has done; καί both τούς the κωφούς deaf ποιεῖ He makes ἀκούειν to hear, καί and τούς the ἀλάλους mute λαλεῖν. to speak.
ἐν In ἐκείναις those ταῖς - ἡμέραις days, πάλιν again πολλοῦ great ὄχλου [the] crowd ὄντος being καί and μή not ἐχόντων having τί what φάγωσιν, they might eat, προσκαλεσάμενος having called to [Him] τούς the μαθητάς disciples, λέγει He says αὐτοῖς· to them, Σπλαγχνίζομαι I am moved with compassion ἐπί upon τόν the ὄχλον, crowd, ὅτι because ἤδη already ἡμέραι days τρεῖς three προσμένουσιν they continue μοι with Me, καί and οὐ nothing ἔχουσιν have τί that φάγωσιν· they might eat. καί And ἐάν if ἀπολύσω I shall send away αὐτούς them νήστεις hungry εἰς to οἶκον [the] homes αὐτῶν, of them, ἐκλυθήσονται they will faint ἐν on τῇ the ὁδῷ· way. καί For τινές some αὐτῶν of them ἀπό from μακρόθεν afar ἥκασιν. are come. Καί And ἀπεκρίθησαν answered αὐτῷ Him οἱ the μαθηταί disciples αὐτοῦ of Him ὅτι -, Πόθεν From where τούτους these δυνήσεται will be able τὶς anyone ὧδε here χορτάσαι to satisfy ἄρτων with bread ἐπ ̓ in ἐρημίας; this desolate place? Καί And ἠρώτα He was asking αὐτούς· them, Πόσους How many ἔχετε have you ἄρτους; loaves? οἱ - δέ And εἶπαν· they said, Ἑπτά. Seven. Καί And παραγγέλλει He directs τῷ the ὄχλῳ crowd ἀναπεσεῖν to recline ἐπί on τῆς the γῆς· ground. καί And λαβών having taken τούς the ἑπτά seven ἄρτους loaves, εὐχαριστήσας having given thanks, ἔκλασεν He broke [them] καί and ἐδίδου kept giving [them] τοῖς to μαθηταῖς disciples αὐτοῦ of Him, ἵνα that παρατιθῶσιν, they might set before [them]. καί And παρέθηκαν they set [it] before τῷ the ὄχλῳ. crowd. καί And εἶχον they had ἰχθύδια small fish ὀλίγα· a few. καί And εὐλογήσας having blessed αὐτά them, εἶπεν He ordered καί also ταῦτα these παρατιθέναι. to be set before [them]. Καί And ἔφαγον they ate καί and ἐχορτάσθησαν, were satisfied. καί And ἦραν they took up περισσεύματα over and above κλασμάτων of fragments ἑπτά seven σπυρίδας. baskets. ἦσαν There were δέ now ὡς about τετρακισχίλιοι. four thousand. καί And ἀπέλυσεν He sent away αὐτούς. them.
Καί And εὐθύς immediately ἐμβάς having entered εἰς into τό the πλοῖον boat μετά with τῶν the μαθητῶν disciples αὐτοῦ of Him, ἦλθεν He came εἰς into τά the μέρη district Δαλμανουθά. of Dalmanutha.
Καί And ἐξῆλθον went out οἱ the Φαρισαῖοι Pharisees καί and ἤρξαντο began συζητεῖν to dispute with αὐτῷ, Him, ζητοῦντες seeking παρ ̓ from αὐτοῦ Him σημεῖον a sign ἀπό from τοῦ - οὐρανοῦ, heaven, πειράζοντες testing αὐτόν. Him. Καί And ἀναστενάξας having sighed deeply τῷ in the πνεύματι spirit αὐτοῦ of Him, λέγει· He says, Τί Why ἡ the γενεά generation αὕτη this ζητεῖ seeks σημεῖον; a sign? ἀμήν Truly λέγω I say ὑμῖν, to you, εἰ if δοθήσεται there will be given τῇ to the γενεᾷ generation ταύτῃ this σημεῖον. a sign. καί And ἀφείς having left αὐτούς them, πάλιν again ἐμβάς having embarked, ἀπῆλθεν He went away εἰς to τό the πέραν. other side.
Καί And ἐπελάθοντο they forgot λαβεῖν to take ἄρτους loaves, καί and εἰ if μή not ἕνα one ἄρτον loaf οὐ not εἶχον they had μεθ ̓ with ἑαυτῶν them ἐν in τῷ the πλοίῳ. boat. καί And διεστέλλετο He was instructing αὐτοῖς them, λέγων· saying, Ὁρᾶτε, Watch out; βλέπετε take heed ἀπό of τῆς the ζύμης leaven τῶν of the Φαρισαίων Pharisees, καί and τῆς of the ζύμης leaven Ἡρῴδου. of Herod. καί And διελογίζοντο they were reasoning πρός with ἀλλήλους one another ὅτι because ἄρτους loaves οὐ not ἔχουσιν. they have. Καί And γνούς having known [it], λέγει He says αὐτοῖς· to them, Τί Why διαλογίζεσθε reason you ὅτι because ἄρτους loaves οὐ not ἔχετε; you have? οὔπω Not yet νοεῖτε do you perceive οὐδέ nor συνίετε; understand? πεπωρωμένην Hardened ἔχετε do you have τήν the καρδίαν heart ὑμῶν; of you? Ὀφθαλμούς Eyes ἔχοντες having, οὐ not βλέπετε do you see? καί And ὦτα ears ἔχοντες having, οὐ not ἀκούετε; do you hear?
καί And οὐ not μνημονεύετε, do you remember?
ὅτε When τούς the πέντε five ἄρτους loaves ἔκλασα I broke εἰς for τούς the πεντακισχιλίους, five thousand, πόσους how many κοφίνους hand-baskets κλασμάτων of fragments πλήρεις full ἤρατε; took you up? Λέγουσιν They say αὐτῷ· to Him, Δώδεκα. Twelve. Ὅτε When τούς the ἑπτά seven εἰς to τούς the τετρακισχιλίους, four thousand, πόσων of how many σπυρίδων baskets πληρώματα [the] fillings κλασμάτων of fragments ἤρατε; took you up? Καί And λέγουσιν said αὐτῷ· they, Ἑπτά. Seven. Καί And ἔλεγεν He was saying αὐτοῖς· to them, Οὔπω Not yet συνίετε; do you understand?
Καί And ἔρχονται they come εἰς to Βηθσαϊδάν. Bethsaida. Καί And φέρουσιν they bring αὐτῷ to Him τυφλόν a blind [man], καί and παρακαλοῦσιν implore αὐτόν Him ἵνα that αὐτοῦ him ἅψηται. He might touch. καί And ἐπιλαβόμενος having taken hold of τῆς the χειρός hand τοῦ of the τυφλοῦ blind [man], ἐξήνεγκεν He led forth αὐτόν him ἔξω out τῆς of the κώμης village, καί and πτύσας having spit εἰς upon τά the ὄμματα eyes αὐτοῦ, of him, ἐπιθείς having laid τάς the χεῖρας hands αὐτῷ upon him, ἐπηρώτα He was asking αὐτόν· him Εἴ if τὶ anything βλέπεις; you see. Καί And ἀναβλέψας having looked up ἔλεγεν· he was saying, Βλέπω I see τούς the ἀνθρώπους men, ὅτι for ὡς as δένδρα trees ὁρῶ I see [them] περιπατοῦντας. walking. Εἶτα Then πάλιν again ἐπέθηκεν He laid τάς the χεῖρας hands ἐπί upon τούς the ὀφθαλμούς eyes αὐτοῦ, of him, καί and διέβλεψεν he opened his eyes καί and ἀπεκατέστη he was restored, καί and ἐνέβλεπεν he began to see τηλαυγῶς clearly ἅπαντα. everything. καί And ἀπέστειλεν He sent αὐτόν him εἰς to οἶκον [the] home αὐτοῦ of him, λέγων· saying, Μηδέ Not εἰς into τήν the κώμην village εἰσέλθῃς. may you enter.”
Καί And ἐξῆλθεν went forth ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus καί and οἱ the μαθηταί disciples αὐτοῦ of Him εἰς into τάς the κώμας villages Καισαρείας of Caesarea τῆς - Φιλίππου· Philippi. καί And ἐν on τῇ the ὁδῷ way, ἐπηρώτα He was questioning τούς the μαθητάς disciples αὐτοῦ of Him, λέγων saying αὐτοῖς· to them, Τίνα Whom με Me λέγουσιν do pronounce οἱ - ἄνθρωποι men εἶναι; to be? οἱ - δέ And εἶπαν they answered αὐτῷ Him, λέγοντες saying ὅτι -, Ἰωάννην John τόν the Βαπτιστήν, Baptist; καί and ἄλλοι others, Ἠλίαν, Elijah; ἄλλοι others δέ now ὅτι -, εἷς one τῶν of the προφητῶν. prophets. Καί And αὐτός He ἐπηρώτα was questioning αὐτούς· them, Ὑμεῖς You δέ however, τίνα whom με Me λέγετε do pronounce εἶναι; to be? Ἀποκριθείς Answering, ὁ - Πέτρος Peter λέγει says αὐτῷ· to Him, Σύ You εἶ are ὁ the Χριστός. Christ. Καί And ἐπετίμησεν He warned αὐτοῖς them ἵνα that μηδενί no one λέγωσιν they should tell περί concerning αὐτοῦ. Him.
Καί And ἤρξατο He began διδάσκειν to teach αὐτούς them ὅτι that δεῖ it is necessary for τόν the Υἱόν Son τοῦ - ἀνθρώπου of Man πολλά many things παθεῖν to suffer, καί and ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι to be rejected ὑπό by τῶν the πρεσβυτέρων elders καί and τῶν the ἀρχιερέων chief priests καί and τῶν the γραμματέων scribes, καί and ἀποκτανθῆναι to be killed, καί and μετά after τρεῖς three ἡμέρας days ἀναστῆναι· to rise [again]. καί And παρρησίᾳ openly τόν the λόγον word ἐλάλει. He was speaking. καί And προσλαβόμενος having taken Him ὁ - Πέτρος Peter αὐτόν to him, ἤρξατο he began ἐπιτιμᾶν to rebuke αὐτῷ. Him. ὁ - δέ And ἐπιστραφείς having turned καί and ἰδών having looked upon τούς the μαθητάς disciples αὐτοῦ of Him, ἐπετίμησεν He rebuked Πέτρῳ Peter καί and λέγει· said, Ὕπαγε Get ὀπίσω behind μου, Me, Σατανᾶ, Satan, ὅτι for οὐ not φρονεῖς you have in mind τά the τοῦ things Θεοῦ of God, ἀλλά but τά the τῶν things ἀνθρώπων. of men.
Καί And προσκαλεσάμενος having called to [Him] τόν the ὄχλον crowd σύν with τοῖς the μαθηταῖς disciples αὐτοῦ of Him, εἶπεν He said αὐτοῖς· to them, Εἴ If τὶς anyone θέλει desires ὀπίσω after μου Me ἀκολουθεῖν, to follow, ἀπαρνησάσθω let him deny ἑαυτόν himself, καί and ἀράτω let him take up τόν the σταυρόν cross αὐτοῦ of him, καί and ἀκολουθείτω let him follow μοι. Me. ὅς Whoever γάρ for ἐάν if θέλῃ might desire τήν - ψυχήν life αὐτοῦ his σῶσαι to save, ἀπολέσει will lose αὐτήν· it; ὅς whoever δ ̓ now ἄν - ἀπολέσει will lose τήν the ψυχήν life αὐτοῦ of him ἕνεκεν on account of ἐμοῦ Me καί and τοῦ of the εὐαγγελίου gospel, σώσει he will save αὐτήν. it.
