Σάρα Sarai δέ - ἡ the γυνή wife Ἀβράμ of Abram οὐ not ἔτικτεν had borne children αὐτῷ· for him. ἦν There was δέ - αὐτῇ to her παιδίσκη maid Αἰγυπτία Egyptian ᾗ whose ὄνομα name (was) Ἁγάρ. Εἶπεν said δέ - ὁ - θεός God τῷ - Ἀβραάμ to Abraham: Σάρα Sarai ἡ - γυνή wife, σου, your οὐ not κληθήσεται will be called τό - ὄνομα name αὐτῆς her Σάρα, Sarai, ἀλλά but Σάρρα Sarah. ἔσται will be τό - ὄνομα name αὐτῆς· her εὐλογήσω I will bless δέ - αὐτήν, her καί and δώσω I will give σοι to you ἐκ from αὐτῆς her τέκνον. a child, καί and εὐλογήσω I will bless αὐτόν, him, καί and ἔσται he will be εἰς - ἔθνη, nations, καί and βασιλεῖς kings ἐθνῶν of nations ἐκ from αὐτοῦ him. ἔσονται. there will be καί And ἔπεσεν fell Ἀβραάμ Abraham ἐπί upon πρόσωπον his face καί and ἐγέλασεν laughed καί and εἶπεν spoke ἐν in τῇ - διανοίᾳ mind, αὐτοῦ his λέγων saying: εἰ If τῷ to one ἑκατονταετεῖ a hundred years old γενήσεται will be born υἱός, a son καί and εἰ if Σάρρᾳ Sarah, ἐνενήκοντα ninety ἐτῶν years old, γενήσεται; is εἶπεν said δέ - Ἀβραάμ Abraham πρός to τόν - θεόν God: Ἰσμαήλ Ishmael, οὗτος this (one) ζήτω let live ἐναντίον before σου. you. εἶπεν said δέ - ὁ - θεός God πρός to Ἀβραάμ Abraham: Ναί· Certainly, ἰδού look, Σάρρα Sarah, ἡ - γυνή wife, σου your τέξεται will bring forth σοι for you υἱόν, a son, καί and καλέσεις you will call τό - ὄνομα name αὐτοῦ his Ἰσαάκ· Isaac, καί and στήσω I will set up τήν - διαθήκην covenant μου my πρός with αὐτόν him εἰς as διαθήκην covenant αἰώνιον, an ongoing καί and τῷ - σπέρματι offspring αὐτοῦ for his μετ ̓ after αὐτόν. him. περί Concerning δέ - Ἰσμαήλ Ishmael, ἰδού look, ἐπήκουσα I have listened to σου· you καί and εὐλόγησα I blessed αὐτόν, him καί and αὐξανῶ I will make increase αὐτόν him καί and πληθυνῶ I will multiply αὐτόν him σφόδρα· exceedingly. δώδεκα Twelve ἔθνη nations γεννήσει, he will bring forth, καί and δώσω I will make αὐτόν him εἰς into ἔθνος nation. μέγα. a great τήν - δέ - διαθήκην covenant μου my στήσω I will establish πρός with Ἰσαάκ, Isaac, ὅν whom τέξεται will bring forth σοι for you Σάρρα Sarah εἰς at τόν - καιρόν time, τοῦτον this ἐν in τῷ - ἐνιαυτῷ full year. τῷ - ἑτέρῳ. another συνετέλεσεν He finished δέ - λαλῶν speaking πρός to αὐτόν, him καί and ἀνέβη went up ὁ - θεός God ἀπό from Ἀβραάμ. Καί And ἔλαβεν took Ἀβραάμ Abraham Ἰσμαήλ Ishmael τόν - υἱόν son αὐτοῦ his καί and πάντας all τούς - οἰκογενεῖς servants αὐτοῦ his καί and πάντας all τούς the ones ἀργυρωνήτους purchased with silver καί and πᾶν every ἄρσεν male τῶν of the ἀνδρῶν men τῶν who were ἐν in τῷ the οἴκῳ house Ἀβραάμ, of Abraham καί and περιέτεμεν he circumcised τάς - ἀκροβυστίας foreskins αὐτῶν their ἐν at τῷ the καιρῷ appointed time τῆς - ἡμέρας day, ἐκείνης, of that καθά just as ἐλάλησεν told αὐτῷ him. ὁ - θεός.
