καί And ἐν in μέσῳ [the] midst τοῦ of the θρόνου throne καί and κύκλῳ around τοῦ the θρόνου throne τέσσαρα [were] four ζῷα living creatures, γέμοντα being full ὀφθαλμῶν of eyes ἔμπροσθεν in front καί and ὄπισθεν. behind. καί And τό the ζῷον living creature τό - πρῶτον first ὅμοιον [was] like λέοντι a lion, καί and τό the δεύτερον second ζῷον living creature ὅμοιον like μόσχῳ a calf, καί and τό the τρίτον third ζῷον living creature ἔχων having τό the πρόσωπον face ὡς as ἀνθρώπου of a man, καί and τό the τέταρτον fourth ζῷον living creature ὅμοιον like ἀετῷ an eagle πετομένῳ. flying. καί And τά the τέσσαρα four ζῷα, living creatures, ἕν one καθ ̓ for ἕν one αὐτῶν of them ἔχων had ἀνά respectively πτέρυγας wings ἕξ, six, κυκλόθεν all around καί and ἔσωθεν within γέμουσιν full ὀφθαλμῶν, of eyes; καί and ἀνάπαυσιν rest οὐ not ἔχουσιν they have ἡμέρας day καί and νυκτός night, λέγοντες· saying: Ἅγιος Holy, ἅγιος Holy, ἅγιος Holy, Κύριος Lord ὁ - Θεός God ὁ - Παντοκράτωρ, Almighty, ὁ the [One] ἦν having been, καί and ὁ the [One] ὤν being, καί and ὁ the [One] ἐρχόμενος. coming.

Καί And ὅταν whenever δώσουσιν will give τά the ζῷα living creatures δόξαν glory καί and τιμήν honor καί and εὐχαριστίαν thanksgiving τῷ to the [One] καθημένῳ sitting ἐπί upon τῷ the θρόνῳ throne, τῷ the [One] ζῶντι living εἰς to τούς the αἰῶνας ages τῶν of the αἰώνων, ages, πεσοῦνται will fall οἱ the εἴκοσι twenty τέσσαρες four πρεσβύτεροι elders ἐνώπιον before τοῦ the [One] καθημένου sitting ἐπί upon τοῦ the θρόνου throne, καί and προσκυνήσουσιν they will worship τῷ the [One] ζῶντι living εἰς to τούς the αἰῶνας ages τῶν of the αἰώνων ages, καί and βαλοῦσιν they will cast τούς the στεφάνους crowns αὐτῶν of them ἐνώπιον before τοῦ the θρόνου throne, λέγοντες· saying: Ἄξιος Worthy εἶ, are You, ὁ the Κύριος Lord καί and ὁ - Θεός God ἡμῶν, of us, λαβεῖν to receive τήν - δόξαν glory καί and τήν - τιμήν honor καί and τήν - δύναμιν, power; ὅτι for σύ You ἔκτισας created τά - πάντα all things, καί and διά because of τό the θέλημα will σου of You ἦσαν they existed, καί and ἐκτίσθησαν. were created. Καί And εἶδον I saw ἐπί on τήν the δεξιάν right hand τοῦ of the [One] καθημένου sitting ἐπί upon τοῦ the θρόνου throne βιβλίον a scroll, γεγραμμένον having been written ἔσωθεν inside καί and ὄπισθεν on [the] back, κατεσφραγισμένον having been sealed σφραγῖσιν with seals ἑπτά. seven. καί And εἶδον I saw ἄγγελον an angel ἰσχυρόν strong, κηρύσσοντα proclaiming ἐν in φωνῇ a voice μεγάλῃ· loud, Τίς Who is ἄξιος worthy ἀνοῖξαι to open τό the βιβλίον scroll, καί and λῦσαι to break τάς the σφραγῖδας seals αὐτοῦ; of it? Καί And οὐδείς no one ἐδύνατο was able ἐν in τῷ - οὐρανῷ heaven, οὐδέ nor ἐπί upon τῆς the γῆς earth, οὐδέ nor ὑποκάτω under τῆς the γῆς earth, ἀνοῖξαι to open τό the βιβλίον scroll, οὔτε nor βλέπειν to see αὐτό. it. καί And ἔκλαιον I was weeping πολύ, loudly, ὅτι because οὐδείς no one ἄξιος worthy εὑρέθη was found ἀνοῖξαι to open τό the βιβλίον scroll, οὔτε nor βλέπειν to see αὐτό. it. Καί And εἷς one ἐκ of τῶν the πρεσβυτέρων elders λέγει says μοι· to me, Μή Not κλαῖε, do weep. ἰδού Behold, ἐνίκησεν has overcome ὁ the Λέων Lion ὁ - ἐκ of τῆς the φυλῆς tribe Ἰούδα, of Judah, ἡ the Ῥίζα root Δαυίδ, of David, ἀνοῖξαι to open τό the βιβλίον scroll καί and τάς the ἑπτά seven σφραγῖδας seals αὐτοῦ. of it.

Καί And εἶδον I saw ἐν in μέσῳ [the] midst τοῦ of the θρόνου throne καί and τῶν of the τεσσάρων four ζῴων living creatures, καί and ἐν in μέσῳ [the] midst τῶν of the πρεσβυτέρων elders, Ἀρνίον a Lamb ἑστηκός standing ὡς as ἐσφαγμένον having been slain, ἔχων having κέρατα horns ἑπτά seven καί and ὀφθαλμούς eyes ἑπτά seven, οἵ which εἰσίν are τά the ἑπτά seven Πνεύματα Spirits τοῦ - Θεοῦ of God, ἀπεσταλμένοι having been sent out εἰς into πᾶσαν all τήν the γῆν. earth. καί And ἦλθεν He came καί and εἴληφεν took [it] ἐκ out of τῆς the δεξιᾶς right hand τοῦ of the [One] καθημένου sitting ἐπί on τοῦ the θρόνου. throne.

Καί And ὅτε when ἔλαβεν He had taken τό the βιβλίον, scroll, τά the τέσσαρα four ζῷα living creatures καί and οἱ the εἴκοσι twenty τέσσαρες four πρεσβύτεροι elders ἔπεσαν fell down ἐνώπιον before τοῦ the Ἀρνίου Lamb, ἔχοντες having ἕκαστος each κιθάραν a harp καί and φιάλας bowls χρυσᾶς golden γεμούσας being full θυμιαμάτων, of incenses, αἵ which εἰσίν are αἱ the προσευχαί prayers τῶν of the ἁγίων, saints. καί And ᾄδουσιν they are singing ᾠδήν a song καινήν new, λέγοντες· saying, Ἄξιος Worthy εἶ are You λαβεῖν to take τό the βιβλίον scroll, καί and ἀνοῖξαι to open τάς the σφραγῖδας seals αὐτοῦ, of it, ὅτι because ἐσφάγης You were slain, καί and ἠγόρασας You purchased τῷ - Θεῷ to God ἐν by τῷ the αἵματι blood σου of You, ἐκ out of πάσης every φυλῆς tribe καί and γλώσσης tongue καί and λαοῦ people καί and ἔθνους nation, καί and ἐποίησας You have made αὐτούς them τῷ to the Θεῷ God ἡμῶν of us, βασιλείαν a kingdom καί and ἱερεῖς, priests; καί and βασιλεύσουσιν they will reign ἐπί upon τῆς the γῆς. earth.

Καί And εἶδον, I looked, καί and ἤκουσα I heard φωνήν [the] voice ἀγγέλων of angels πολλῶν many κύκλῳ around τοῦ the θρόνου throne, καί and τῶν of the ζῴων living creatures, καί and τῶν of the πρεσβυτέρων, elders; καί and ἦν was ὁ the ἀριθμός number αὐτῶν of them μυριάδες myriads μυριάδων of myriads καί and χιλιάδες thousands χιλιάδων of thousands, λέγοντες saying φωνῇ in a voice μεγάλῃ· loud: Ἄξιον Worthy ἐστίν is τό the Ἀρνίον Lamb τό - ἐσφαγμένον having been slain, λαβεῖν to receive τήν the δύναμιν power καί and πλοῦτον riches καί and σοφίαν wisdom καί and ἰσχύν strength καί and τιμήν honor καί and δόξαν glory καί and εὐλογίαν. blessing!

Καί And πᾶν every κτίσμα creature ὅ which [is] ἐν in τῷ - οὐρανῷ heaven, καί and ἐπί upon τῆς the γῆς earth, καί and ὑποκάτω under τῆς the γῆς earth, καί and ἐπί on τῆς the θαλάσσης sea καί and τά - ἐν in αὐτοῖς them πάντα everything, ἤκουσα I heard λέγοντας· saying: Τῷ To the [One] καθημένῳ sitting ἐπί on τῷ the θρόνῳ throne, καί and τῷ to the Ἀρνίῳ Lamb, ἡ - εὐλογία blessing καί and ἡ - τιμή honor καί and ἡ - δόξα glory καί and τό - κράτος might εἰς to τούς the αἰῶνας ages τῶν of the αἰώνων. ages. Καί And τά the τέσσαρα four ζῷα living creatures ἔλεγον· kept saying, Ἀμήν. Amen. καί And οἱ the πρεσβύτεροι elders ἔπεσαν fell down καί and προσεκύνησαν. worshiped.

Καί And εἶδον I watched ὅτε when ἤνοιξεν opened τό the Ἀρνίον Lamb μίαν one ἐκ of τῶν the ἑπτά seven σφραγίδων, seals, καί and ἤκουσα I heard ἑνός one ἐκ of τῶν the τεσσάρων four ζῴων living creatures λέγοντος saying, ὡς like φωνῇ a voice βροντῆς· of thunder, Ἔρχου. Come! Καί And εἶδον, I looked, καί and ἰδού behold, ἵππος a horse λευκός, white, καί and ὁ the [one] καθήμενος sitting ἐπ ̓ on αὐτόν it ἔχων having τόξον a bow; καί and ἐδόθη was given αὐτῷ to him στέφανος a crown, καί and ἐξῆλθεν he went forth νικῶν overcoming, καί and ἵνα that νικήσῃ. he might conquer.

Καί And ὅτε when ἤνοιξεν He opened τήν the σφραγῖδα seal τήν - δευτέραν, second, ἤκουσα I heard τοῦ the δευτέρου second ζῴου living creature λέγοντος· saying, Ἔρχου. Come! Καί And ἐξῆλθεν went forth ἄλλος another ἵππος horse πυρρός, bright red; καί and τῷ to the [one] καθημένῳ sitting ἐπ ̓ on αὐτόν it ἐδόθη was granted αὐτῷ to him λαβεῖν to take τήν the εἰρήνην peace ἐκ from τῆς the γῆς earth, καί and ἵνα that ἀλλήλους one another σφάξουσιν they will slay; καί and ἐδόθη was given αὐτῷ to him μάχαιρα a sword μεγάλη. great.

Καί And ὅτε when ἤνοιξεν He opened τήν the σφραγῖδα seal τήν - τρίτην, third, ἤκουσα I heard τοῦ the τρίτου third ζῴου living creature λέγοντος· saying, Ἔρχου. Come! Καί And εἶδον, I looked, καί and ἰδού behold, ἵππος a horse μέλας, black, καί and ὁ the [one] καθήμενος sitting ἐπ ̓ on αὐτόν it ἔχων having ζυγόν a pair of scales ἐν in τῇ the χειρί hand αὐτοῦ. of him. καί And ἤκουσα I heard ὡς [something] like φωνήν a voice ἐν in μέσῳ [the] midst τῶν of the τεσσάρων four ζῴων living creatures, λέγουσαν· saying, Χοῖνιξ A choenix σίτου of wheat δηναρίου for a denarius, καί and τρεῖς three χοίνικες choenixes κριθῶν of barley δηναρίου, for a denarius; καί and τό the ἔλαιον oil καί and τόν the οἶνον wine μή not ἀδικήσῃς. you should injure.

Καί And ὅτε when ἤνοιξεν He opened τήν the σφραγῖδα seal τήν - τετάρτην, fourth, ἤκουσα I heard φωνήν [the] voice τοῦ of the τετάρτου fourth ζῴου living creature λέγοντος· saying, Ἔρχου. Come! Καί And εἶδον, I looked, καί and ἰδού behold, ἵππος a horse χλωρός, pale, καί and ὁ the [one] καθήμενος sitting ἐπάνω on αὐτοῦ it, ὄνομα [the] name αὐτῷ of him [was] ὁ - Θάνατος, Death, καί and ὁ - ᾅδης Hades ἠκολούθει was following μετ ̓ with αὐτοῦ him; καί and ἐδόθη was given αὐτοῖς to them ἐξουσία authority ἐπί over τό the τέταρτον fourth τῆς of the γῆς earth, ἀποκτεῖναι to kill ἐν with ῥομφαίᾳ sword, καί and ἐν with λιμῷ famine, καί and ἐν with θανάτῳ plague, καί and ὑπό by τῶν the θηρίων beasts τῆς of the γῆς. earth.

Καί And ὅτε when ἤνοιξεν He opened τήν the πέμπτην fifth σφραγῖδα, seal, εἶδον I saw ὑποκάτω under τοῦ the θυσιαστηρίου altar τάς the ψυχάς souls τῶν of those ἐσφαγμένων having been slain διά because of τόν the λόγον word τοῦ - Θεοῦ of God, καί and διά because of τήν the μαρτυρίαν testimony ἥν which εἶχον. they had upheld. καί And ἔκραξαν they were crying φωνῇ in a voice μεγάλῃ loud, λέγοντες· saying, Ἕως Until πότε, when, ὁ O Δεσπότης Lord, ὁ - ἅγιος holy καί and ἀληθινός, true, οὐ not κρίνεις do You judge, καί and ἐκδικεῖς avenge τό the αἷμα blood ἡμῶν of us ἐκ from τῶν those κατοικούντων dwelling ἐπί upon τῆς the γῆς; earth? Καί And ἐδόθη were given αὐτοῖς to them ἑκάστῳ each στολή robes λευκή white, καί and ἐρρέθη it was said αὐτοῖς to them ἵνα that ἀναπαύσονται they shall rest ἔτι yet χρόνον a time μικρόν, little, ἕως until πληρωθῶσιν would be fulfilled καί also οἱ the σύνδουλοι fellow servants αὐτῶν of them, καί and οἱ the ἀδελφοί brothers αὐτῶν of them, οἱ those μέλλοντες being about ἀποκτέννεσθαι to be killed ὡς as καί also [had been] αὐτοί. they.

Καί And εἶδον I saw ὅτε when ἤνοιξεν He opened τήν the σφραγῖδα seal τήν - ἕκτην, sixth, καί and σεισμός an earthquake μέγας great ἐγένετο there was, καί and ὁ the ἥλιος sun ἐγένετο became μέλας black ὡς as σάκκος sackcloth τρίχινος of hair, καί and ἡ the σελήνη moon ὅλη whole ἐγένετο became ὡς like αἷμα blood, καί and οἱ the ἀστέρες stars τοῦ of οὐρανοῦ heaven ἔπεσαν fell εἰς to τήν the γῆν, earth, ὡς as συκῆ a fig tree βάλλει casts τούς the ὀλύνθους unripe figs αὐτῆς of it, ὑπό by ἀνέμου a wind μεγάλου great σειομένη, being shaken. καί And ὁ - οὐρανός heaven ἀπεχωρίσθη departed ὡς like βιβλίον a scroll ἑλισσόμενον being rolled up, καί and πᾶν every ὄρος mountain καί and νῆσος island ἐκ out of τῶν the τόπων places αὐτῶν of them ἐκινήθησαν. were moved. Καί And οἱ the βασιλεῖς kings τῆς of the γῆς earth, καί and οἱ the μεγιστᾶνες great ones, καί and οἱ the χιλίαρχοι commanders, καί and οἱ the πλούσιοι rich, καί and οἱ the ἰσχυροί powerful, καί and πᾶς every δοῦλος slave καί and ἐλεύθερος free, ἔκρυψαν hid ἑαυτούς themselves εἰς in τά the σπήλαια caves, καί and εἰς among τάς the πέτρας rocks τῶν of the ὀρέων mountains. καί And λέγουσιν they say τοῖς to the ὄρεσιν mountains καί and ταῖς to the πέτραις· rocks, Πέσετε Fall ἐφ ̓ on ἡμᾶς us καί and κρύψατε hide ἡμᾶς us ἀπό from προσώπου [the] face τοῦ of the [One] καθημένου sitting ἐπί on τοῦ the θρόνου throne, καί and ἀπό from τῆς the ὀργῆς wrath τοῦ of the Ἀρνίου, Lamb, ὅτι because ἦλθεν has come ἡ the ἡμέρα day ἡ - μεγάλη great τῆς of the ὀργῆς wrath αὐτῶν, of Them, καί and τίς who δύναται is able σταθῆναι; to stand?

Μετά After τοῦτο these things εἶδον I saw τέσσαρας four ἀγγέλους angels ἑστῶτας standing ἐπί upon τάς the τέσσαρας four γωνίας corners τῆς of the γῆς, earth, κρατοῦντας holding τούς the τέσσαρας four ἀνέμους winds τῆς of the γῆς earth, ἵνα so that μή no πνέῃ would blow ἄνεμος wind ἐπί on τῆς the γῆς earth, μήτε nor ἐπί on τῆς the θαλάσσης sea, μήτε nor ἐπί on πᾶν any δένδρον. tree. καί And εἶδον I saw ἄλλον another ἄγγελον angel, ἀναβαίνοντα having ascended ἀπό from ἀνατολῆς [the] rising ἡλίου of [the] sun, ἔχοντα having σφραγῖδα [the] seal Θεοῦ of God ζῶντος, [the] living. καί And ἔκραξεν he cried φωνῇ in a voice μεγάλῃ loud τοῖς to the τέσσαρσιν four ἀγγέλοις angels οἷς to whom ἐδόθη it had been given αὐτοῖς to them ἀδικῆσαι to harm τήν the γῆν earth καί and τήν the θάλασσαν sea, λέγων· saying, Μή Not ἀδικήσητε harm τήν the γῆν earth, μήτε nor τήν the θάλασσαν sea, μήτε nor τά the δένδρα, trees, ἄχρι until σφραγίσωμεν we shall have sealed τούς the δούλους servants τοῦ of the Θεοῦ God ἡμῶν of us, ἐπί on τῶν the μετώπων foreheads αὐτῶν. of them.

Καί And ἤκουσα I heard τόν the ἀριθμόν number τῶν of those ἐσφραγισμένων, having been sealed, ἑκατόν one hundred τεσσεράκοντα forty τέσσαρες four χιλιάδες, thousand, ἐσφραγισμένοι having been sealed ἐκ out of πάσης every φυλῆς tribe υἱῶν of [the] sons Ἰσραήλ· of Israel:
