Καί And ἀποκριθείς answering, ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus πάλιν again εἶπεν spoke ἐν in παραβολαῖς parables αὐτοῖς to them, λέγων· saying, Ὡμοιώθη Has become like ἡ the βασιλεία kingdom τῶν of the οὐρανῶν heavens ἀνθρώπῳ to a man, βασιλεῖ, a king, ὅστις who ἐποίησεν made γάμους a wedding feast τῷ for the υἱῷ son αὐτοῦ. of him. καί And ἀπέστειλεν he sent τούς the δούλους servants αὐτοῦ of him καλέσαι to call τούς those κεκλημένους having been invited εἰς to τούς the γάμους, wedding feast, καί and οὐ not ἤθελον they were willing ἐλθεῖν. to come. Καί And ἐξελθόντες having gone out οἱ the δοῦλοι servants ἐκεῖνοι those εἰς into τάς the ὁδούς highways, συνήγαγον they brought together πάντας all οὕς as many as εὗρον, they found, πονηρούς evil τέ both καί and ἀγαθούς· good; καί and ἐπλήσθη became full ὁ the γάμος wedding hall ἀνακειμένων. of those reclining. Τότε Then ὁ the βασιλεύς king εἶπεν said τοῖς to the διακόνοις· servants, Δήσαντες Having bound αὐτοῦ his πόδας feet καί and χεῖρας hands, ἐκβάλετε cast out αὐτόν him εἰς into τό the σκότος darkness τό - ἐξώτερον· outer; ἐκεῖ there ἔσται will be ὁ the κλαυθμός weeping καί and ὁ the βρυγμός gnashing τῶν of the ὀδόντων. teeth. Πολλοί Many γάρ for εἰσίν are κλητοί, called, ὀλίγοι few δέ however ἐκλεκτοί. chosen.
Τότε Then πορευθέντες having gone out, οἱ the Φαρισαῖοι Pharisees συμβούλιον counsel ἔλαβον took ὅπως how αὐτόν Him παγιδεύσωσιν they might trap ἐν in λόγῳ. His words. καί And ἀποστέλλουσιν they send αὐτῷ to Him τούς the μαθητάς disciples αὐτῶν of them, μετά with τῶν the Ἡρῳδιανῶν Herodians, λέγοντες· saying, Διδάσκαλε, Teacher, οἴδαμεν we know ὅτι that ἀληθής true εἶ You are, καί and τήν the ὁδόν way τοῦ - Θεοῦ of God ἐν in ἀληθείᾳ [the] truth διδάσκεις You teach, καί and οὐ not μέλει there is care σοι to You περί about οὐδενός· no one, οὐ not γάρ for βλέπεις You look εἰς on [the] πρόσωπον appearance ἀνθρώπων, of men. εἰπέ Tell οὖν therefore ἡμῖν us τί what σοι You δοκεῖ· think? ἔξεστιν Is it lawful δοῦναι to give κῆνσον tribute Καίσαρι to Caesar, ἤ or οὔ; not? Γνούς Having known δέ however ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus τήν the πονηρίαν malice αὐτῶν of them, εἶπεν· He said, Τί Why με Me πειράζετε, do you test, ὑποκριταί; hypocrites? ἐπιδείξατε Show μοι Me τό the νόμισμα coin τοῦ of the κήνσου. tribute. οἱ - δέ And προσήνεγκαν they presented αὐτῷ to Him δηνάριον. a denarius. Τότε Then λέγει He says αὐτοῖς· to them, Ἀπόδοτε Give back οὖν therefore τά the things Καίσαρος of Caesar Καίσαρι to Caesar, καί and τά the things τοῦ - Θεοῦ of God τῷ - Θεῷ. to God. Καί And ἀκούσαντες having heard, ἐθαύμασαν, they marveled; καί and ἀφέντες having left αὐτόν Him, ἀπῆλθαν. they went away.
ἐν On ἐκείνῃ that τῇ - ἡμέρᾳ day προσῆλθον came αὐτῷ to Him Σαδδουκαῖοι, Sadducees, λέγοντες those saying μή not εἶναι there is ἀνάστασιν, a resurrection, καί and ἐπηρώτησαν they questioned αὐτόν Him, λέγοντες· saying, Διδάσκαλε, Teacher, Μωϋσῆς Moses εἶπεν· said, Ἐάν If τὶς anyone ἀποθάνῃ should die μή not ἔχων having τέκνα, children, ἐπιγαμβρεύσει will marry ὁ the ἀδελφός brother αὐτοῦ of him τήν the γυναῖκα wife αὐτοῦ of him, καί and ἀναστήσει he will raise up σπέρμα offspring τῷ for the ἀδελφῷ brother αὐτοῦ. of him. ἦσαν There were δέ now παρ ̓ among ἡμῖν us ἑπτά seven ἀδελφοί· brothers; καί and ὁ the πρῶτος first, γήμας having married, ἐτελεύτησεν, died, καί and μή not ἔχων having σπέρμα seed, ἀφῆκεν he left τήν the γυναῖκα wife αὐτοῦ of him τῷ to the ἀδελφῷ brother αὐτοῦ· of him. ὁμοίως Likewise καί also ὁ the δεύτερος second, καί and ὁ the τρίτος third, ἕως unto τῶν the ἑπτά. seventh. ὕστερον Last δέ then πάντων of all, ἀπέθανεν died ἡ the γυνή. woman. ἐν In τῇ the ἀναστάσει resurrection, οὖν therefore, τίνος of which τῶν of the ἑπτά seven ἔσται will she be γυνή; wife? πάντες All γάρ for ἔσχον had αὐτήν· her. Ἀποκριθείς Answering δέ now, ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus εἶπεν said αὐτοῖς· to them, Πλανᾶσθε You err, μή not εἰδότες knowing τάς the γραφάς Scriptures, μηδέ nor τήν the δύναμιν power τοῦ - Θεοῦ· of God. ἐν In γάρ for τῇ the ἀναστάσει resurrection, οὔτε neither γαμοῦσιν do they marry, οὔτε nor γαμίζονται, are given in marriage, ἀλλ ̓ but ὡς like ἄγγελοι angels ἐν in τῷ - οὐρανῷ heaven εἰσίν. they are. περί Concerning δέ now τῆς the ἀναστάσεως resurrection τῶν of the νεκρῶν dead, οὐ not ἀνέγνωτε have you read τό that which ῥηθέν has been spoken ὑμῖν to you ὑπό by τοῦ - Θεοῦ God, λέγοντος· saying, Ἐγώ I εἰμί am ὁ the Θεός God Ἀβραάμ of Abraham καί and ὁ the Θεός God Ἰσαάκ of Isaac καί and ὁ the Θεός God Ἰακώβ; of Jacob?’ οὐ Not ἔστιν He is ὁ the Θεός God νεκρῶν of [the] dead, ἀλλά but ζώντων. of [the] living. Καί And ἀκούσαντες having heard, οἱ the ὄχλοι crowds ἐξεπλήσσοντο were astonished ἐπί at τῇ the διδαχῇ teaching αὐτοῦ. of Him.
οἱ - δέ And Φαρισαῖοι the Pharisees, ἀκούσαντες having heard ὅτι that ἐφίμωσεν He had silenced τούς the Σαδδουκαίους Sadducees, συνήχθησαν were gathered ἐπί together τό the αὐτό, same. καί And ἐπηρώτησεν questioned [Him] εἷς one ἐκ of αὐτῶν them, νομικός a lawyer, πειράζων testing αὐτόν· Him, Διδάσκαλε, Teacher, ποία which ἐντολή commandment μεγάλη [is the] greatest ἐν in τῷ the νόμῳ; law? ὁ - δέ And ἔφη He said αὐτῷ· to him, Ἀγαπήσεις You shall love κύριον [the] Lord τόν the Θεόν God σου of you ἐν with ὅλῃ all τῇ the καρδίᾳ heart σου of you, καί and ἐν with ὅλῃ all τῇ the ψυχῇ soul σου of you, καί and ἐν with ὅλῃ all τῇ the διανοίᾳ mind σου· of you.’ αὕτη This ἐστίν is ἡ the μεγάλη great καί and πρώτη first ἐντολή. commandment. δευτέρα [The] second δέ also ὁμοία [is] like αὐτῇ· it: Ἀγαπήσεις You shall love τόν the πλησίον neighbor σου of you ὡς as σεαυτόν. yourself.’ ἐν On ταύταις these ταῖς - δυσίν two ἐντολαῖς commandments, ὅλος all ὁ the νόμος law κρέμαται hangs καί and οἱ the προφῆται. Συνηγμένων Having been assembled together δέ now τῶν the Φαρισαίων Pharisees, ἐπηρώτησεν questioned αὐτούς them ὁ - Ἰησοῦς Jesus, λέγων· saying, Τί What ὑμῖν you δοκεῖ think περί concerning τοῦ the Χριστοῦ; Christ? τίνος Of whom υἱός son ἐστίν; is He? Λέγουσιν They say αὐτῷ· to Him, Τοῦ - Δαυίδ. Of David. εἰ If οὖν therefore Δαυίδ David καλεῖ calls αὐτόν Him Κύριον, Lord, πῶς how υἱός son αὐτοῦ of him ἐστίν; is He?
