Ἰούδας Jude, Ἰησοῦ of Jesus Χριστοῦ Christ δοῦλος, servant, ἀδελφός brother δέ then Ἰακώβου, of James, Τοῖς To those ἐν in Θεῷ God Πατρί [the] Father ἠγαπημένοις having been loved καί and Ἰησοῦ in Jesus Χριστῷ Christ τετηρημένοις having been kept κλητοῖς· called. Ἔλεος Mercy ὑμῖν to you καί and εἰρήνη peace καί and ἀγάπη love πληθυνθείη. be multiplied.

Ἀγαπητοί, Beloved, πᾶσαν all σπουδήν diligence ποιούμενος using γράφειν to write ὑμῖν to you περί concerning τῆς - κοινῆς common ἡμῶν of us σωτηρίας salvation, ἀνάγκην necessity ἔσχον I had γράψαι to write ὑμῖν to you, παρακαλῶν exhorting [you] ἐπαγωνίζεσθαι to contend earnestly τῇ for the ἅπαξ once for all παραδοθείσῃ having been delivered τοῖς to the ἁγίοις saints πίστει. faith. παρεισέδυσαν Came in stealthily γάρ for τινές certain ἄνθρωποι, men, οἱ those πάλαι long ago προγεγραμμένοι having been designated εἰς unto τοῦτο this τό - κρίμα, condemnation, ἀσεβεῖς, ungodly [ones], τήν the τοῦ of the Θεοῦ God ἡμῶν of us χάριτα grace μετατιθέντες changing εἰς into ἀσέλγειαν sensuality, καί and τόν the μόνον only Δεσπότην master καί and Κύριον Lord ἡμῶν of us Ἰησοῦν Jesus Χριστόν Christ ἀρνούμενοι. denying.

Ὑπομνῆσαι To remind δέ now ὑμᾶς you βούλομαι, I want, εἰδότας having known ὑμᾶς you ἅπαξ at one time πάντα all this, ὅτι that Ἰησοῦς Jesus λαόν a people ἐκ out of γῆς [the] land Αἰγύπτου of Egypt σώσας having saved, τό - δεύτερον afterward τούς those μή not πιστεύσαντας having believed, ἀπώλεσεν, He destroyed. ἀγγέλους [The] angels τέ both τούς - μή not τηρήσαντας having kept τήν [own] ἑαυτῶν their ἀρχήν domain, ἀλλά but ἀπολιπόντας having left τό the ἴδιον own οἰκητήριον dwelling, εἰς unto κρίσιν [the] judgment μεγάλης of [the] great ἡμέρας day, δεσμοῖς in chains ἀϊδίοις eternal ὑπό under ζόφον darkness τετήρηκεν, He keeps, ὡς just as Σόδομα Sodom καί and Γόμορρα Gomorrah καί and αἱ the περί around αὐτάς them πόλεις cities, τόν - ὅμοιον in like τρόπον manner τούτοις with them ἐκπορνεύσασαι having indulged in sexual immorality καί and ἀπελθοῦσαι having gone ὀπίσω after σαρκός flesh ἑτέρας, strange, πρόκεινται are set forth as δεῖγμα an example πυρός of fire αἰωνίου eternal δίκην [the] penalty ὑπέχουσαι. undergoing.

Οὗτοι These εἰσίν are οἱ the ones ἐν in ταῖς the ἀγάπαις love feasts ὑμῶν of you, σπιλάδες hidden reefs, συνευωχούμενοι feasting together [with you] ἀφόβως, fearlessly, ἑαυτούς themselves ποιμαίνοντες, shepherding; νεφέλαι clouds ἄνυδροι without water, ὑπό by ἀνέμων winds παραφερόμεναι, being carried about; δένδρα trees φθινοπωρινά autumnal ἄκαρπα without fruit, δίς twice ἀποθανόντα having died, ἐκριζωθέντα, having been uprooted; κύματα waves ἄγρια wild θαλάσσης of [the] sea, ἐπαφρίζοντα foaming out τάς - ἑαυτῶν of their αἰσχύνας, shame; ἀστέρες stars πλανῆται wandering, οἷς to whom ὁ the ζόφος gloom τοῦ - σκότους of darkness εἰς to αἰῶνα [the] age τετήρηται. has been reserved.

Προεφήτευσεν Prophesied δέ then καί also τούτοις as to these ἕβδομος [the] seventh ἀπό from Ἀδάμ Adam, Ἑνώχ Enoch, λέγων, saying: Ἰδού Behold, ἦλθεν has come Κύριος [the] Lord ἐν amidst ἁγίαις holy [ones] μυριάσιν myriads αὐτοῦ of His, ποιῆσαι to execute κρίσιν judgment κατά against πάντων all, καί and ἐλέγξαι to convict πᾶσαν every ψυχήν soul περί concerning πάντων all τῶν the ἔργων works ἀσεβείας of ungodliness αὐτῶν of them ὧν which ἠσέβησαν they have done in an ungodly way, καί and περί concerning πάντων all τῶν the σκληρῶν harsh [things] ὧν that ἐλάλησαν have spoken κατ ̓ against αὐτοῦ Him ἁμαρτωλοί sinners ἀσεβεῖς. ungodly.” Οὗτοι These εἰσίν are γογγυσταί grumblers, μεμψίμοιροι discontented, κατά after τάς the ἐπιθυμίας lusts αὐτῶν own πορευόμενοι, following; καί and τό the στόμα mouth αὐτῶν of them λαλεῖ speaks ὑπέρογκα, great swelling [words], θαυμάζοντες flattering πρόσωπα faces ὠφελείας profit χάριν. for the sake of.

Ὑμεῖς You δέ, however, ἀγαπητοί, beloved, ἐποικοδομοῦντες building up ἑαυτούς yourselves, τῇ in the ἁγιωτάτῃ most holy ὑμῶν of you πίστει, faith ἐν in Πνεύματι [the] Spirit Ἁγίῳ Holy προσευχόμενοι, praying, ἑαυτούς yourselves ἐν in ἀγάπῃ [the] love Θεοῦ of God τηρήσατε keep, προσδεχόμενοι awaiting τό the ἔλεος mercy τοῦ of the Κυρίου Lord ἡμῶν of us Ἰησοῦ Jesus Χριστοῦ Christ, εἰς unto ζωήν life αἰώνιον. eternal. Καί And οὕς those who μέν indeed ἐλεᾶτε have mercy on, διακρινομένους, are doubting; οὕς others δέ also σῴζετε save, ἐκ out of πυρός [the] fire ἁρπάζοντες, snatching ; οὕς to others δέ then ἐλεᾶτε show mercy ἐν with φόβῳ fear, μισοῦντες hating καί even τόν the ἀπό by τῆς the σαρκός flesh ἐσπιλωμένον having been stained χιτῶνα. clothing.

Τῷ To Him δέ now δυναμένῳ being able φυλάξαι to keep ὑμᾶς you ἀπταίστους from stumbling καί and στῆσαι to present [you] κατενώπιον in the presence of τῆς the δόξης glory αὐτοῦ of Him, ἀμώμους blameless ἐν with ἀγαλλιάσει, exultation — μόνῳ to [the] only Θεῷ God Σωτῆρι Savior ἡμῶν of us, διά through Ἰησοῦ Jesus Χριστοῦ Christ τοῦ the Κυρίου Lord ἡμῶν of us, δόξα [be] glory, μεγαλωσύνη majesty, κράτος dominion, καί and ἐξουσία authority, πρό before παντός all τοῦ - αἰῶνος time καί and νῦν now, καί and εἰς to πάντας all τούς the αἰῶνας, ages.
