Ἰησοῦς Jesus Χριστός Christ ἐχθές yesterday καί and σήμερον today ὁ [is] the αὐτός same, καί and εἰς to τούς the αἰῶνας. ages. Διδαχαῖς By teachings ποικίλαις various καί and ξέναις strange, μή not παραφέρεσθε· be carried away; καλόν [it is] good γάρ for χάριτι by grace βεβαιοῦσθαι to be strengthened τήν for the καρδίαν, heart, οὐ not βρώμασιν foods, ἐν in οἷς which οὐ not ὠφελήθησαν were profited οἱ those περιπατοῦντες. being devoted. Ἔχομεν We have θυσιαστήριον an altar ἐκ from οὗ which φαγεῖν to eat, οὐ not ἔχουσιν have ἐξουσίαν authority, οἱ those τῇ in the σκηνῇ tabernacle λατρεύοντες. serving. Δι ̓ Through αὐτοῦ Him οὖν then ἀναφέρωμεν we should offer θυσίαν [the] sacrifice αἰνέσεως of praise διά through παντός everything τῷ to Θεῷ, God, τοῦτ ̓ that ἔστιν is, καρπόν [the] fruit χειλέων of [the] lips ὁμολογούντων confessing τῷ the ὀνόματι name αὐτοῦ. of Him. τῆς - δέ And εὐποιΐας the good καί and κοινωνίας of sharing, μή not ἐπιλανθάνεσθε· be forgetful; τοιαύταις with such γάρ for θυσίαις sacrifices εὐαρεστεῖται is well pleased ὁ - Θεός. Πείθεσθε Obey τοῖς those ἡγουμένοις leading ὑμῶν you, καί and ὑπείκετε, be submissive; αὐτοί they γάρ for ἀγρυπνοῦσιν watch ὑπέρ over τῶν the ψυχῶν souls ὑμῶν of you, ὡς as λόγον account ἀποδώσοντες, about to give; ἵνα that μετά with χαρᾶς joy τοῦτο this ποιῶσιν they might do, καί and μή not στενάζοντες· groaning, ἀλυσιτελές unprofitable γάρ indeed ὑμῖν for you [is] τοῦτο. this.

Προσεύχεσθε Pray περί for ἡμῶν· us; πειθόμεθα we are persuaded γάρ for ὅτι that καλήν a good συνείδησιν conscience ἔχομεν, we have, ἐν in πᾶσιν all things καλῶς well θέλοντες desiring ἀναστρέφεσθαι. to conduct ourselves. περισσοτέρως More abundantly δέ now παρακαλῶ I exhort [you] τοῦτο this ποιῆσαι, to do, ἵνα so that τάχιον more quickly ἀποκατασταθῶ I may be restored ὑμῖν. to you.

ὁ [May] the δέ now Θεός God τῆς - εἰρήνης, of peace, ὁ - ἀναγαγών having brought ἐκ out from νεκρῶν [the] dead τόν the ποιμένα Shepherd τῶν of the προβάτων sheep τόν - μέγαν great, ἐν by αἵματι [the] blood διαθήκης of [the] covenant αἰωνίου, eternal, τόν the Κύριον Lord ἡμῶν of us Ἰησοῦν, Jesus, καταρτίσαι equip ὑμᾶς you ἐν in παντί everything ἀγαθῷ good, εἰς in order τό - ποιῆσαι to do τό the θέλημα will αὐτοῦ, of Him, ποιῶν working ἐν in ἡμῖν us τό that which [is] εὐάρεστον well pleasing ἐνώπιον before αὐτοῦ Him, διά through Ἰησοῦ Jesus Χριστοῦ, Christ, ᾧ to whom [be] ἡ the δόξα glory εἰς to τούς the αἰῶνας ages τῶν of the αἰώνων, ages. ἀμήν. Παρακαλῶ I exhort δέ now ὑμᾶς, you, ἀδελφοί, brothers, ἀνέχεσθε bear with τοῦ the λόγου word τῆς - παρακλήσεως, of exhortation; καί only γάρ for διά in βραχέων few words ἐπέστειλα I have written ὑμῖν. to you. Γινώσκετε You know τόν the ἀδελφόν brother ἡμῶν of us Τιμόθεον Timothy ἀπολελυμένον, has been released, μεθ ̓ with οὗ whom ἐάν if τάχιον sooner ἔρχηται he should come, ὄψομαι I will see ὑμᾶς. you.
